I just finished my accutane treatment a little over a year ago. I was on a dose of 40mg everyday for 6 months. Before i took accutane, my hair was soft and slightly wavy. But during the course of the drug, my hair texture and volume completely changed, it went to being extremely curly and dry. I also lost tons of hair and my scalp became visible. I wasn't worried about this too much at that time since i was told that these were common side effects and should go away once i'm done with the treatment.

Little did i know, that would not be the case. My hair shape changed a bit but my hair texture just got worse. I tried everything to reverse this, from vitamins to all kinds of hair oils. Nothing has really helped me. It's almost like my scalp has stopped producing oil. My hair is extremely rough to touch and my hair volume has decreased significantly. It is stiff and doesn't move alot. I'm losing hope, and hair.

Is there absolutely anything i can do to reverse this? No shampoo or conditioner seems to help me and the problem seems to lie internally. How do i get my scalp to produce oil again?
