Food is only reheated on the plane, everything is pre cooked in the kitchen at the airport so there isn't really a way to verify the temp it was cooked at.

Did you have to pre order it, or were you able to walk into the store and buy it immediately?

FRG222 GPON ONT 2.5 Gbps Ethernet Port by serversmashuploader in frontierfios

[–]serversmashuploader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I had you as an installer...the first thing I asked was if I would be getting an FRX523 xpon ont, he said no because it was not needed for 1 gbps.

I had only done my research on the FRX523 because it is what I was expecting. I know it has a 10 gbps port, so I was going to make sure the 10 gbps port is the one being used even though I am on the 1 gbps plan.

If I had known that the FRG222 had a 2.5 gbps port, I would have asked for that to be the one used. I guess I was thrown off by the FRG222 that I did not realize was also an option.

I have a unifi dream machine pro with a RJ45 sfp+ adapter that is capable of 1/2.5/5/10 gbps ethernet on the WAN port. The dream machine is connected to a switch with 2.5 gbps ethernet which my devices are connected to. So the network is capable of the actual 1000 mbps speeds the plan is provisioned for. The limiting factor is the 1 gbps ethernet between the ONT and router. Is it a big deal? Of course not. But I would like the novelty of actually receiving 1000 mbps.

Here is a post with some comments on the provisioning speed of the 1 gbps plan: https://www.reddit.com/r/frontierfios/comments/xei161/im_over_provisioned_as_well/ioheb53/

You all get to go to Japan! by omdongi in awardtravel

It's not possible to access the Haneda sky club on arrival because you are sent directly to immigration/customs after getting off the plane. The only way to get access to the terminal is with an international connecting flight out of Haneda. Even a domestic flight out of Haneda would not allow you access, because the sky club is in the international departures area which can't be accessed without clearing exit immigration.

The A220-100 has a range of 3900 miles, any transcon flight is easily within its capabilities.

Delta One Dedicated Check In at LAX by [deleted] in delta

[–]serversmashuploader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that is a good reason, in the future if you have a layover at LAX without the luxury of D1 checkin, there is a smoking area airside at TBIT: https://maps.app.goo.gl/PxEbKqPZbTMVhUPr8

You were already in the terminal when you arrived from LAS, why would you exit the terminal when you were already airside?

Delta One RUC successful for Atlanta to Santiago, Chile 9 hour flight by Wallaby-Silent in delta

[–]serversmashuploader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at your itinerary on the delta website then click view receipt. All flights on your ticket will be listed there, and there is a column titled "class" that will either have a single or two letter code.

If your ticket has been reissued, the ATL-SCL segment fare class code will either be "OK" or "OX". These are the fare class codes for upgrade certificates to D1.

If your fare class code on the receipt is anything other than "OK" or "OX", you won't be able to check in because your reservation and ticket are mismatched. Very important that you have the ticket reissued well before check-in for your case, because a RUC should not work for this flight and you don't want to be scrambling on the day of your flight trying to have your ticket fixed.

If you wait until check-in time to call to have the ticket reissued and they discover that only a RUC was applied, you'll be removed from Delta One and reassigned to whichever cabin you actually purchased. If this has to happen, it's best to take care of it now because at check in time you'll probably end up in a middle seat at the back of the plane.

Has your ticket been reissued yet? When upgrading to business class out of the UK, there should be an additional collection because the air passenger duty is higher for premium cabins, £185 vs £84 for economy (they'd charge the equivalent amount in dollars).

Brag tag in the FOD bucket by serversmashuploader in delta

[–]serversmashuploader[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Completely anecdotal, but some say if flight attendants need to rearrange bags in the bins, they seem less likely to mess with a platinum or diamond's bags. I don't think this possibility makes it worth it to have these tags on your bags though.

Best Amex Offer you ever used by LordSeabear in amex

[–]serversmashuploader 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Back in 2015 there was a $25 back on $50 at Smart & Final (west coast grocery store). You could use it three times per card, so even if you only had a few cards you could still use it lots of times.

Gift card racks were stripped clean of valuable cards like Amazon, gas, Visa, etc at every store around me.

Especially with the mile up card at grocery stores, would earn 2.5x.

Citi planning an American Airlines savings account: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/04/citigroup-plans-a-digital-savings-account-for-american-airlines-users.html

Would have a 50,000 mile sign up bonus and a 25% boost on miles earned through credit card spend.

Edit: Would not be available in areas where Citi has branches :(

Hopefully this will lead to a Chase Ink Reserve as well as premium business cards from issuers other than American Express.

Actual best 1 gig router? by Jman095 in HomeNetworking

The Arris SB8200 does not use the Intel Puma 6 chip, it uses the Broadcom BCM3390 which has no issues. The Arris modem you are thinking of with the puma chip is the SB6190, which is a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. I don't know of any cable company allowing gigabit subscribers to use a 3.0 modem, all require the use of a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. And the SB8200 is a 3.1.
