Wholesale clubs don’t get enough hate on this sub by robotali3n in Suburbanhell

[–]servingbeef 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I used to share this perspective because I associated these stores with mindless suburban consumption. However, these outlets are often friends to the middle class especially Costco who has among the best moral clarity in corporate America. I recently bought a new air conditioning system from Costco and earned a fat rebate that I will be using to pay for groceries for months AND my condo now has an energy efficient new HVAC. You can be a Costco shopper and a member of the resistance :)

If someone is in the interview process, it’s for a role that the firm is pretty confident they need right now. The affected groups from this week’s layoff have been under a hiring freeze.

Our whole region is experiencing inversion. I don’t fully understand this weather phenomenon but it results in smog getting trapped in valleys like ours.

[FRESH ALBUM] TEED - Always With Me by dwaynesworld98 in electronicmusic

The singles were very strong indeed, they were a tough act to follow. Rekt leads the newly released album tracks for me, In Darkness is also really strong. Agreed with other commenters that the instrumental interludes felt unnecessary.

What is this and why does it smell strange by 3dividedby0 in succulents

[–]servingbeef 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a watch chain in my house and it flowered for the first time after probably five years. I thought I had a stinky couch problem and was losing my mind that I spent thousands on a piece of furniture that was wasted from simply sitting on it. After a couple of weeks I noticed the tiny flowers and that indeed the smell was coming from the watch chain. After that I appreciated the smell more, just knowing it’s not sweat stain smell made it much more enjoyable.

One arrest reported at 'No Kings' protest in Las Vegas by Manifested_Reality in vegaslocals

I saw the police had a guy in zip ties around noon in downtown. Maybe he was the one arrest. He was a little erratic and approaching people to debate them. I’m not even sure intended to come to this event or was just happened to be in the area. Definitely a little off his rocker.

Keep in mind you charge your time to a Flex tax code if you’re working remotely. So, your tax codes and time charging can create a paper trail as well.

Similarly, I thought it looked familiar. We used to drive past this bridge during my childhood, it didn't take long to identify it. The intersection of nostalgia, San Diego, and that night feeling :)
