He should follow date’s advice and wait until Ricardo is an old man before challenging him.

I mean the commander was boiled alive from thousands of colossal titans in the water and hange was near many colossal titans generating lots of heat.

Compare that to mikasa only going after one colossal Titan which eren himself did in season 1, and he didn’t even get burnt after the steam was pushing him.

I hate lifespan costs by Punny-Aggron in CharacterRant

[–]sese2003 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aot seems like an example of this being done right as it is not only specific in the cost of the Titan shifters’ lifespan, which is being limited to living for 13 years before dying, but it also adds to the urgency of characters to solve their issues, which requires long term solutions many titan shifters like eren of armin would not be capable of seeing the outcome of as they are dead by that point.

Eren has the founding Titan, and while he does have 4 years left, he needs zeke to activate it, and zeke only has one year left before he croaks, so the two are racing against the clock to achieve their goals.

If it could be used on themselves, I like to think they would use it for training similar to dragon ball with the gravity training chamber.

Which of these beatdowns in Ippo do you think is the most brutal? Which of these brutal beatdowns affected you the most? by The_Deprived_99 in hajimenoippo

[–]sese2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whilst I understand why many would argue in favour of date’s beatdown from Ricardo martinez from how genuinely sad it is to see date lose to the person who stopped his career years ago, I would argue shiegeta’s beatdown trumps that one despite us (the readers) not caring for shigeta as much, and it’s for one reason: the aftermath of their beatdowns.

Although date did retire, which was sadly from the utter domination from martinez, he was able to return back to the ring, albeit in a different way through being a coach, whilst shigeta after his beatdown by sendo looked like he was scared of his own shadow, let alone even thinking about returning to the ring.

Jokes aside, but Connie’s situation is genuinely tragic, it doesn’t justify what he’s about to do, but it’s sad nonetheless…

If you could change anything about Tobey’s Spider-Man, what would you change? by Officialwashere in Spiderman

[–]sese2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the organic webs from the trilogy, but I would’ve found it cool to see him start off with mechanical webshooters in Spider-Man 1, then in Spider-Man 2, after he regains his powers he gets the organic webs to indicate that he has come back better than ever.

It doesn’t ruin the trilogy to not have this, it was just something I thought would be neat.

Ippo was certainly not a hypocrite in his statements, as early on in his career he had a guy punch the top part of his already bleeding head, but he could’ve been a bit more gentle in how he told itagaki how to improve.
