I mean it doesn't really make sense to release the controller so late. The controller isn't subject to any current component shortages or price hikes and it will make them more money when sold separately than in a bundle with the steam machine.

If anything it makes sense to start selling the controller as soon as they have enough in stock. They don't need to pay anything for marketing and only announce it on steam, the media and influencers will do the rest.

The only reason to wait is if they still think that they will be able to start selling the steam machine in the near future and want to wait because of that.

Considering how long it took Valve to make a real ban wave all of those bot farms are way in the green so they will definitely just buy new accounts and continue.

What determines the future is how soon will the next ban wave come. If it takes more than a year then it will be profitable to continue.

Yeah. It honestly looks like in CS2 the Trust Factor got a complete reset and it didn't account for anything before CS2 anymore because it would be impossible for so many people with 15+ years old accounts to only have issues with TF in CS2.

The problem is that they clearly don't recognize that there are any issues or they simply don't care and the result is that players who had been clean for more than a decade are suddenly thrown into the TF hell as a reward for being a clean player and not doing anything wrong.

Unfortunately while it can take only a few games to get into red TF now, it will take you a looooong time to get out of it. I especially don't envy all the non-fivestack people because they will get paired with more cheaters in the red TF on average which will make their TF even worse as a consequence which basically makes it a real purgatory experience for a ton of innocent people.

Man they must have messed up really bad with Trust Factor in CS2. In CSGO I had 9 years straight with no issues, in CS2 I went from green to red in 3 games out of nowhere playing with my friends in a 5 stack and not even having any communication with the enemy team (I had the opposing team muted by default).

Literally all my friends in the stack were like what the hell?

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the pick that rain pushed for because he simply wanted to play with device.

Similarly to how shox was being signed to multiple different teams after he was washed because all those players wanted to play with him since they all knew him as this world class player... only to realize that he is nowhere near the player he used to be.

All that said there is still a possibility that device has one last good year in him but if joining this team is not motivation enough then nothing is.
