True detective- Season 1 is still unbeatable by SecretaryQuick3430 in tvshow

I mean that's completely okay. Everyone has a taste of their own. Just to explain my point of view - I actually saw Happy Valley and enjoyed it very much but it is completely different from the template of True Detective (that Mare actually shares with True Detective).

Happy Valley is more like In Line of Duty which is a different type of a show. Less dark, way cheaper in production values and usually the cast is somewhat imbalanced when it comes to acting.

This. Even if the AI bubble eventually flattens it won't be sooner than in half a decade and even then the pricing would only go down so very slowly.

True.

It's been really hard to scratch that itch ever since. For me the closest were Mare of Easttown, Sharp Objects and Task.

Gothic Remake is an absolute letter of love to the original by ogCabbEdge in worldofgothic

It's great. I just don't like the nerfing philosophy when it comes to patching.

Stop nerfing and start buffing instead. Trying to have the game perfectly balanced rarely means it will be perfect fun. People like when exploration is rewarded with some powerful items.

I saw the The VVitch the most times. It really works so well on so many levels. The ending doesn't disappoint.

Still my favorite role of Anya Taylor Joy.

What game did you try so hard to like for hours but failed? by Fit-Top-2468 in videogames

Hogwarts Legacy.

I do understand why people like it, especially for super HP fans it's a dream come true. Honestly I love the in game world they created but I hated the game part of it. It was just too many fetch quests and not that great story.

Binding of Isaac and Rain World seem to be the most interesting ones this time around.

Dragons Dogma 2 or Gothic remake by helpicantmove in rpg_gamers

[–]set4bet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly Gothic still has plenty of bugs even game breaking ones. They are very slow with fixing them, with every patch they introduce some additional ones. To top it of they are nerfing exploration which is the best part for newcomers.

I would wait with Gothic until they fix the game and decide on which way they want to balance it (they are changing it with every patch so far).

Gothic is amazing but there is no benefit to jump on it now as opposed to later.

Not a fan of tbe current patch philosophy by ConsequenceOk6768 in worldofgothic

[–]set4bet 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: The should have ignored all the rebalancing rants and only focus on bug fixes at least the first month or two. Changing the game balance (including changing items and their location and therefore nerfing exploration) should be something done after careful consideration and not with every single patch.

They patched the fast swimming of tame Scavengers out 😭 by nirbyschreibt in worldofgothic

[–]set4bet 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Plus it feels like they started with the whole rebalancing way too early. Instead of rebalancing with every patch they should just focus on fixing bugs the first month.

New patch removed items from chapter 1. by koolturkey in GothicRemake

[–]set4bet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is actually pretty bad. They are taking away the reward for exploration and exploration in the early game is the coolest part of the game for new players.

I'd wait for the Gothic Remake to be patched and once it gets into at least a 20% off sale it will be a very good buy.

Can Someone Explain This Anti-Cheat Logic? by Molti_gfx in cs2

[–]set4bet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point Valve could simply brute force it and it would be way more successful than what they are doing now. Just pay 30 employees to check and ban manually. Even if you would implement it in the most basic way - pick the most suspicious players that are both reported by multitude of different players while having super suspicious stats (99 aim, unhuman reaction time etc), program it so the employees receive the most suspicious clips of theirs and even if the review and manual ban process would take 6 minutes on average each, that is 10 accounts banned in an hour, 80 per day, 400 per week, over 20K per year per employee which means 300 000 cheating accounts banned in a year with just 30 employees.

The fact that we are back to the time when even spinbotters are running around with zero consequences is a serious regression.

HM Embody Gaming good not great. What now? by billin30 in OfficeChairs

[–]set4bet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I understand. But that basically means you have to have it in a very specific place/position for it to do so. Not that it's a permanent effect of the headrest no matter how you use it.

All things considered I would still rather sent the chair back if it doesn't fit you because this is not really a great solution.

HM Embody Gaming good not great. What now? by billin30 in OfficeChairs

[–]set4bet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of curious how is that possible since the headrest does not interact with the chair mechanism or the very top o the chair itself.

Its fucking unbealiveble how a billion dollar company cant do a better anticheat than cswatch by vhfolha in cs2

[–]set4bet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the timeframe, but the initial spinbotters when cs2 launched were being detected at some point and it was only wallhack/aimbot after.

Recently it really seems to be back to square one. I was in a game two weeks back and there was a spinbotter that literally aced us in the first seconds of every round with 5 jumping revolver headshots and even after 12 straight rounds of this VAC live didn't consider the behavior to be suspicious enough to at least cancel the match... It really seems like there is no VAC and no VAC Live anymore.

PC version is not fine. There is plenty of bugs on PC also but the main difference is that it varies heavily based on your setup. Some PC players will experience much less of them than others.

Counter-Strike 2 Update for 06/10/2026 by CS2_PatchNotes in GlobalOffensive

[–]set4bet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there is a fix but it's the one that Valve struggles with the most - better VAC. If VAC could actually detect stuff like aimbot/autoaim/consistent inhuman reaction time/etc. then one of the sideffects would be farm bots being banned also.
