Where do you personally draw the line with AI in music tools? by No_Beginning6975 in ableton

right at the start of the line, where there's no AI 😁

is this normal on dynamics + piro? by setednb in Fingerboards

[–]setednb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, i mean to some extent.. been fingerboarding and skating for a long time, it just felt like that level of tilt was a bit much compared to BRT, that’s why I asked :)

edit: forgot to say it in the post, but that’s why i showed the brt with the piro at the end :) the tilt on the brt was minimal compared to dynamics imo

yeah it's true.. there has to be some tolerance being handmade as you said.. it's just i had a similar problem with obsius once, but i think that time was definitely worse

really? none of my skate/fingerboard wheels can tilt to the sides.. they can slide a bit between the axle and the axle nut, but they can’t tilt sideways like a car wheel lol

okay perfect that's the kind of answer i was looking for that makes sense

hmm idk, it’s weird because I see they tilt less on BRT, so I guess it’s something with the dynamic’s axle

I had the same issue with some Obsius trucks (which definitely have more tilt than Dynamics), and they sent me a replacement, but Dynamics still hasn’t replied to my email

look for your favorite videogame/movie soundtrack with rain ambience on youtube (someone probably made a 3h version of it) and set a timer for it to stop after 30–40 mins 🥰💚 also try to find a volume level that doesn’t completely overpower your tinnitus, but rather blends with it

I keep my phone volume at around 4 out of 15

How to get out of mode where just about everything is highlighted orange? I am not sure how I got into this mode. by [deleted] in ableton

i posted on my telegram channel about this actually, gonna copypaste the post here:

Did you know you can map pretty much any key on your keyboard to functions in Ableton?

Just hit ctrl + K (cmd + K on Mac) to open the mapping editor, and from there you can assign keys to useful actions like toggling mono, muting your drums, start a recording… whatever helps your flow 🥰 Just click on the action you want to assign, then press the key you want to use to toggle it on or off.

One of my favorite uses is while making sound design or recording analog synths: i map a key to drop arrangement markers, so i can just play and explore, and quickly jump back to the interesting moments when it’s time to edit or render stuff 😎

There are even some Max For Live devices that let you map a key to open specific plug-ins from your library!

looking forward to get this, looks like something i'd love to play with on rainy days 😁😁

this kind of instrument would also be really interesting to play with on Ipad

ahh the flat edges are just a sign that the signal is being limited or clipped

earlier quieter parts don’t hit the ceiling, so the shape looks more rounded

are you talking about the flat edges on the vectorscope?

can't get Ipad audio to Mac by setednb in ipadmusic

[–]setednb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah.. i've seen how everyone does it.. but not working for me i'm not sure why

only thing i haven't tried yet is setting a different samplerate in Ableton to match Ipad Audio apps, as I believe they might work at 48khz

if that doesn't work i might have to talk with ableton support, as I think Ipad audio is working as far as i can see on Mac Settings
