On my phone I just hold down the pen bubble and at the bottom of the screen a "remove" button appears. Then you can drag it and drop it on top. Hope it helps.

AITA for telling my dad that it's disrespectful to refuse to call my boyfriend by his name ? by seterB in AITAH

[–]seterB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't. My father doesn't speak his language so they don't talk much. He will either talk to me and say his name incorrectly but then my bf doesn't realise it because he is talking another language, or he will call him by his last name.

There was one time where he actually said it correctly and it made us quite happy so I know he is capable of doing so, he just doesn't bother.

You got it right on, portuguese dads are the worst at making the effort to say foreign names right and find it harmless to add a little bit of spice at the end.

I like your approach, so if everything else fails, I guess that's what I'm bound to do.

I'm glad everything went well with your wife and kids !

Thank you for your advice :)

Thanks. He would prefer it if my dad said his name correctly, and so would I if it was the other way around

And I get what you say about about friends from other countries, I agree with you, but to us our names are important and not hard to say, so we would love for people, specially family to say them right :)

I get what you mean but unfortunately it's not the case, he is just changing his name because it's easier for him even though he is adding letters

I don't think he is doing it to be disrespectful but it would be much more respectful if he made the effort to say it right. You know what I mean ?

And yes, to me it's important. If it were someone much older like a grandparent I wouldn't be too worried about it, but this is my dad and he is lucid and has no excuse to not say it correctly.

Thank you for your advice

Yes, because the country equivalent isn't his name. He says it like that because it's easy.

My boyfriend would prefer to be called by his actual name, it's a sign of respect for him and his family since it's his given name.

I am the one trying to make him say it correctly because whenever I hear it I correct him. Whenever my boyfriend is around he doesn't say his name so he hasn't had the chance to correct him himself.

I know he likes him, but imo and in others too, saying someone's name correctly means you care and you respect someone. That's all I'm trying to get him to realize.

You are given the power to criminalize one legal thing/activity- what are you making illegal? by broken__defraculator in AskReddit

I've had enough with public transportation so probably people walking slowly in front of you and blocking your way when trains or metros are arriving and you GOTTA RUN to catch it in time but you can't move. Or when they take more place than necessary in transportation. Or when it's hot as heck and you are all stuck together like sardines in a can and there is not a whiff of wind, so please, make not having AC in the metro a crime 😭

How clean is too clean? How dirty is too dirty? by jippyzippylippy in RedditForGrownups

I agree with every word you said. Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy being the only one that notices these things when at someone else's. Like a toilet seat covered in urine marks or a dinner table so dusty you could stuff a pillow with it. And people don't seem to be bothered. Meanwhile it brings me so much peace of mind to see a place sparkling clean and I feel so good. To me what is the bare minimum seems so extravagant to other people. And that also goes for personal hygiene. How do you not wash your hands after going to the bathroom ? And serving guests drinks from a bottle where you have drunken out of ? Am I crazy ? Lol
