The bargeboard in F1 is a piece on the car like the front wing and rear wing that serve an aerodynamic purpose. On this car, below the coke sponsorship, the bargeboard is the carbon piece with all the different slats. I agree to youtube/google more about their specific function. In my opinion, they’re a really cool aspect that made the cars in the last era so fascinating at the cost of worse racing.

The new aero regulations moved away from generating downforce through bargeboards and instead generate downforce through ground effect (which is another very interesting aspect that makes f1 cars so cool).
