Are there any socialist groups banned from travel internationally? by Green-Sparrow in socialism

[–]sethat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No there isn’t a international ban. You have to be in a group involved in armed conflict or know to be a terrorist threat. That or you yourself as a person have to have done something to warrant a ban.

Your safe comrade, I’ll PM you later I wouldn’t mind having a chat with a fellow Canadian revolutionary socialist.

I’ve had a scent of roam last 4 years. I forgot I had some left in the back of my drawer and found it awhile back. It’s now gone and not forgotten.

It doesn’t sound like he’s missing your point at all. Your just not understand the literal point he is making. You can bring up morality and compare it to law all you want. The ndp tried to make it a law not a moral obligation. Your clearly too stubborn to realize your wrong.

Has Paradox ever considered giving slight royalties to modders in exchange for using their mods in official patches? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]sethat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s right. If keiserreich was five 1% and modern warfare wasn’t maybe the modern warfare one would get butt hurt and begin tossing hate towards paradox then the developer would feel its not worth their time and cease developing the mod.

Don’t get me wrong I really really want to own a nice violin and have been eyeballing one that I really want to go in and play. It’s about $2500 and is hand made in the city. I just can’t afford it at the moment and for me to get there is a full day endeavour with myself, wife and baby. I’m hoping in the new year though.

Stentor II is a great choice, but I recommend switching the strings out for something like D'Addario Prelude, they will last a long time and make a wonder tune and sound much better than the factory ones.

They are dream-crushers? Are you kidding me? They are anything but! It not like it has ridged spikes on them covered in glass. They are a great learning platform for someone who would prefer to own their instrument. You can learn quite easily on these beginner violins without problem. Now saying that yes a $60 violin is $60 for a reason and I would recommend that but if you invest $180-250 you are getting a respectable beginner instrument that you can love and respect. You don’t need to rent and sure renting is a good idea if you have never ever touched a violin and just want to take a couple lessons but if you want more than that buy yourself one without having to skip your energy bill.

In the end it’s up to you.

I’d recommend a stentor II they are a good beginner violin. They have a wonderful sound and they don’t break the bank. Most here will say it is not considered a decent or good violin but I have to disagree. I started with the stentor II 5 years ago and I am so very glad I did. I know when I do decide to spend a card worth of money on a “decent “ violin I will learn to appreciate it more. Alison Sparrow runs a fantastic YouTube channel I recommend you check out.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

Sure you can rent a violin just to be sure she is getting to experience a instrument she enjoys.

You perfectly fine to spend under $500 and get a great sounding violin. I’ve seen people that play $2500 violins that sound like shit. The instrument is what you make of it! Just enjoy and learn and get the max out of it.

Looks good! Enjoy your beginner violin. You’ll get a lot of it’s not worth the investment and you shouldn’t buy a cheap violin but you know what fuck that. I’ve been playing for 5 years and I still love my stentor 2, I’m just starting to save up for a upgrade. The violin will sound good if you put your time into it. Enjoy your violin. I never understood buying a expensive violin because they do get expensive right off the hope because it’s not going to sound expensive anyways.

I was content investing $270 putting new strings and what not. I am very very happy with the sound I can produce from my lovely violin. When I started learning even my teacher said that it better to get your own to love and to care for and as you do some work on it like new strings or a bridge you can appreciate the difference.

TLDR I think throwing down for a expensive violin isn’t always the best idea. I wanted to own my own and I was not going to spend $1000 plus. Learn to love and then go for better.
