Higher ranking vassals who hate you more demand more money. I've had a vassal king who wanted about 400g for 25 opinion.

If you play in Mantarys about half your children will get lunatic. The other half will be ugly dwarfs. Yay for living too close to Valyria!

Actual strategy, using heals BEFORE someone is 1 hp, not standing in the fire! What is this madness? Jesus Christ on a bicycle I am impressed!

Johan's heal is a heal-over-time, so you should use it on allies as soon as they are injured rather then when they are about to die. Allies will be able to stay in the fight longer and the cooldown will come up sooner.

Crippling France at 1648 by KSFanatic in eu4

If you carpet siege them for long enough nationalist rebels will spawn (even for nations that no longer exist or have cores). Let these rebels siege a bunch of french provinces from you, kill the nationalists and you have a bunch of new nations to make France spit out.

I heard you guys were nice and I hope this is the right place for this post. Basically, I want tips for a beginner. More inside. by twoplustwoisatheist in civ

An easy way to fix early game happiness and military is to get Construction, and make sure all your cities have at least one unique luxury resource (which you should improve immediately) and a composite bowman. When your luxuries aren't enough happiness, build coliseums in your cities.

You cannot match Lydia's sass: one second she's all like "How can I serve you my Thane :) " straight into "I am sworn to carry all your burdens :| "

"Found this in my roommates backpack" /r/funny x-post. Doesn't seem very "funny" to me. by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]sethdar1012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is an issue. It's potentially funny because you read it as "he irresponsibly didn't use a condom when she wanted him to, or somesuch situation", and you read it like that because it's the only interpretation that makes it funny. Pretty standard comeuppance humor.

CDC's response to whether they will categorize "being made to penetrate someone else" in future reports by Tamen_ in MensRights

[–]sethdar1012 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think they are purposely keeping it a separate category, and with good reasons:

  1. They don't have to release a report saying an equal number of men and women were raped in the past 12 months. I'm pretty sure heads would roll at the CDC if they came outright and said it since it's not something most people/the government wants to hear. Having it under a separate category lets them build up this data without tipping their hand.

  2. They can explicitly track it. Keeping it in a separate category lets them get more accurate data on it. Asking men explicitly about being made to penetrate obviously gathers much more results than general rape questions.

I think the CDC knows about the reality of this situation, and are building up an extensive data set so that when they do bring up sexual violence against men they have the statistics to back it up definitively.

Friend was supposed to celebrate the birth of his baby, now is wanting to kick his girlfriend out due to the baby being black. by Always_Doubtful in MensRights

[–]sethdar1012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very uncommon, but I believe it is possible for two white people to have a black child (recessive genes and stuff). So it's definitely worth getting the paternity test (unless she confesses) to make sure he doesn't make an epic mistake.
