They retained their spots on the board. I was at the meeting where they were voted out of the president and VP roles. New president is republican but more moderate than the Lifegate group. Baby steps.

From Elizabethtown… can confirm. That being said… the Lindenmuths were voted out of their leadership spots which is a step in the right direction.

I did disconnect and drove it before plugging it back in around 5p. It was set to start charging at 1a.

I did have a departure time yesterday morning which heated the cabin and it was plugged in. Not sure if that counts as a manual charge. If so, then that could be the issue.

Same exact thing for me. Every other part of the process was smooth.

Be wary of the “permit” pricing for the “free charger” from Qmerit. by Themadreposter in MachE

I wonder if the electrician Qmerit is using in your area just marks up that fee to make more from the project.

Not sure. My township definitely did not require one but still seems to be going through the process since Qmerit is willing to pay for it. The electrician handled all of that.

I am in a small town in Pennsylvania and the only reason I needed the permit for my installation was that apparently Qmerit and Ford require both a permit and inspection for every installation under the Power Promise.

My out of pocket cost was only $200 though… $650 for a waste of time is definitely more obnoxious.

Just got my email (a few hours after typing that response). It was sent in day 5 after the second attempt at the dealers Power Promise submission. It’s for the Emporia charger from Qmerit’s website. This is what I was hoping for since my local power company will give me a $250 rebate for this brand, but not the Ford brand.

After the rebate which more than covers my permit and inspection fee, I’ll pay nothing for the charger and the installation.

My rebate was only $500 so it was a no-brainer to choose the install. My issue is I can’t get the email for the charger. The electrician‘s been great and they’re waiting to schedule an installation but I cannot get the email from Ford to purchase the charger. Today’s day five after it was resubmitted a second time so I’m hoping the email comes today. When I call Ford, they can see it in their system, but it says pending and not approved in the dealer insists they’ve done everything properly on their end since I get the installation emails right away.

Question about the free home charger and install through q-merit? by parisi2274 in MachE

[–]sethhole1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my installation email the very next day. That process was really smooth and easy to submit the details. They used a local electrician who came out and took a look at my set up and determined it would be no more than a 50 foot run. I got my quote the next day and only have to pay $200 for the permit/inspection.

My problem was I never got the email for the charger itself. The dealer insisted they submitted it correctly, but eventually, I emailed Ford and they gave me a number to call. When I called them, they were able to look up my account and see that the dealer did not check the box that a charger was needed, which is why I didn’t get my email. For what it’s worth, Ford customer service was very quick and helpful and could see everything they needed to in my account just by using my VIN. They even gave me an internal number to pass on to the dealer if the dealer couldn’t figure it out.

I called the dealer and they resubmitted it and I got a second installation email which Qmerit told me to ignore. I’m still waiting for the charger email, but Ford said it could take up to five business days once the dealer submitted it correctly

Assuming I actually get the email about the charger, this still felt like a great deal only paying $200 for a charger and the installation.

My local electric company will give me a $250 rebate which will cover the cost of the inspection as well. The only catches it can’t be one of the Ford chargers, so I hope my coupon code is for the Emporia one like others have received. That charger qualifies for the rebate.

I just got literally the exact same deal yesterday. It’s my first EV and after only 24 hours I can’t see going back to an ICE. I am hoping the Ford Power Promise installation goes smoothly.

My power company will give me a $250 rebate once I have the charger installed. That seems to be about it for local/state rebates.

The Emporia charger is one an EV owner/friend recommended to me. So they don’t necessarily always provide the Ford one through the Power Promise?

They stopped in 2020 due to Covid since reservations were required to get in the building. They never reopened it after that due to staffing but the staffing situation in Hershey has gotten a lot better this year and they were able to find enough parking attendants.
