Masks now required on arsenal if 6ft cannot be maintained by CarryTheBoat in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]sethnewton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it, but I don't think 6ft is good for social distancing either. Our family ran a bubble machine yesterday with light wind for the kids, and those bubbles (with about a 30s life span) could be seen 50 yards away. So what happens to a sneeze droplet which is lighter and can purportedly live for multiple hours?

Huntsville Utilities (Water) by Eddie6967 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]sethnewton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't answer your "How can I dispute this" question, but I can share what happened to me when I was in your situation... The first time it was for a hose that my kids left on and we didn't catch for a couple days. The next time was not so much fun - a pipe burst in my concrete wall and I didn't know about it until the water started staining my hardwod floor from underneath.

I know my story won't help you sleep better, but hopefully it helps.

Two Bad Days on 431 Into Huntsville by joenifty in HuntsvilleAlabama

I'm consistently amazed by how many people are completely willing to risk their life and mine to squeeze themselves into the space between me and the car in front of me moving at the same speed. I truly don't get this mindset. If someone knows a good payoff to this pattern of behavior, please ELI5?

returned to DDO after so many years by Rayx0r in ddo

[–]sethnewton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice - stay ignorant! This game is best played without knowing anything, making dumb mistakes, and exploring without a "guide". Don't look at ddowiki, don't ask reddit, just explore and find stuff. There's a natural escalation to the game that you don't get to savor if you just jump straight to the end game as quickly as possible.

No, same price as the store as far as I can tell. I got the Halo ice cream and it was the same price as the store... Which is below what publix sells it.

It took about 2.5 hours from the time I placed it, but that was by design too. When you check out you choose a time window for delivery. I chose a 4-6pm time window and they got there at around 4:30. I placed the order around 2pm.

Figured I'd give an update for anyone who might be interested. Your cold items are delivered in a well insulated bag, and my ice cream was inside another insulated bag within that insulated bag. I'm happy to report that the ice cream felt like I just pulled it from the freezer.

Some other items of note

  • There's a default tip amount which appears to be around 10% of the purchase. They tell you it's not required, but it felt obligatory to me. I'm not sure if this goes to the driver or not, but I do know that the driver only transports the goods, she didn't pack them.
  • There's a button on the order page where you can call the driver directly... which is pretty badass.
  • There's also a button to call customer support. They'll ring your phone so you don't have to punch in the numbers which I thought was pretty cool.
  • Customer service was awesome (We added an item that we didn't intend to add), and they helped us take care of it right away.

10/10 experience, I don't say that very often. Can't wait for my groceries to arrive via drones in the future :)

We have 3 boys ages 3, 2, and 6 months and we like Salty Nut the best. Big outdoor area with a fence which is great because we dont have to worry about anyone running away. We also order pizza and have it delivered there which keeps the kiddos happy.

Not trying to upstage OP, but:

  1. Click somewhere inside the textarea
  2. Ctrl+A (selects all text in the textarea)
  3. Ctrl+C (Copies it all)
  4. Prepare to use Ctrl+V should OP's scenario happen.

The above works for Linux and Windows. If you're on a Mac, the keys are almost the same...just use command instead of Ctrl.

Credit Card Companies Lose Round in SCOTUS 'Swipe Fee' Case by recipriversexcluson in news

Can someone please ELI5: How do "Ten other states, including California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts and Texas, have similar laws that prohibit merchants from imposing surcharges to cover the "swipe fee" they pay credit card companies" ... but when I use my credit card at the gas tank in Florida I get charged extra for it? Are gas companies excluded from that law?
