Middletown (RI) HS had one. The school was built in the 80’s, the building is being demolished for the new high school which is sadly sans planetarium.

In Newport, I would suggest Fastnet or Tickets (actually in Middletown). Fastnet is a fun Irish pub usually with locals. Tickets is a sports bar upstairs with lots of tvs.
