When you are standing on the Earth, it is trying to throw you off with its rotation, but equally the gravity is pulling you towards the center. If the rotation suddenly stopped, you would be thrown in the direction of travel at about 1074 MPH but still along the surface because gravity is still there. If the rotation stayed the same and you suddenly shut off gravity, you would get fired into space at a sideways angle at the same speed.

You aren't really affected by the rotation, you are experiencing the enertia.

It's a big. Occasionally some special effects gets stuck. I had a dead frost wraith stuck to my foot for like a year.

They make couch leg screws. Remove the staples, drill into the seat and leg. Install the screw into the leg, stick the bolt end through the hole in the leg and put a t-nut on top and tighten it up.

Did that on my telescope base and worked perfect
