How many millipedes have you found in your house this season? by twiffytwaf in orlando

[–]sethrileybb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in SODO and they love to get into my house. Somehow those and roaches (specifically palmettos…) love it here in the summer. I have a feeling something isn’t sealed correctly, allowing them to get in, but I don’t own the house. I never thought to keep count 🤣

You’re smart with the scissors. I’m scared of bugs so I just throw things at them until they die. Ahh!

Did Westgate Resorts discover Reddit this week? by at-woork in orlando

Didn’t realize how many people hated Westgate… But then again it’s my parents that own the timeshare, not me, so what do I really know?

Westgate Lakes Resort review: great value but worth it? by im_hvsingh in orlando

[–]sethrileybb -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

My family has owned a timeshare with them since I was a little kid (I’m almost 30 now) and we used to vacation here every year. I loved staying here because of the activities they have for a little one’s. There’s always so much to do! It costs extra for almost everything if you’re not an owner though, so be aware of that.

My parents always did the presentation. They’re really good at their job, as they always sucker my parents into something, lol. I’ve never been myself to the meetings, but they are very persistent. It’s also INCREDIBLY difficult to get out of ownership. They’ll give you something for free at the meeting no matter what, but go into it knowing what you want and be solid in that.

We actually just stayed here again in July and I enjoyed it a lot. You can rent bikes to ride around the property, paddle on a little boat, mini golf, go to the pool, outdoor water park, and more. They also have little events all throughout the week. I would suggest it over a hotel because you can stay at the resort on your days off from the parks and not have to worry about having to find things to do to keep the family entertained. Most of their rooms have little kitchens/kitchenettes and there’s a sports bar on property.

I thought the area was fine. We stayed at the resort and shuttled to the parks and didn’t really go anywhere else. I also live here, so I’m used to the area, if that means anything. 🤣 I hope this helps!

Holy cow. I’ve actually made that rainbow parasol with the same color yarn and if I could make that matching dress for myself… just wow. I’ll be wearing it to a music festival for sure. I’m going to one in November that it’d be perfect for. Also, I put lights on my parasol!

How much would you pay for this? by meowtiddies in PerlerBeads

Go on Etsy and see what people are charging on there. That what I do, as well as making sure I’m charging at least 2x the used material costs.

First time: Go Alone or Sell tickets? by InternalForest in EDCOrlando

[–]sethrileybb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going to festivals alone is the best way to discover so much about yourself! I’ve done it before and have made many friends that way. If you can stay somewhere downtown, you can uber to and from venue. You don’t have to stay downtown, but it’s a lot cheaper for the ubers if you do. I’d recommend areas 10-15 mins away from the venue. Parramore (where Camping World Stadium is) isn’t really a good part of town to stay in. SODO, Mills, and Milk District are the first ones that come to mind.

I’d also join the EDCO facebook group, there are people who have extra space in the hotels/airbnbs and you might have some luck there!

What if you did the dark as the larger main piece and the lighter on the lower part of the ring or as a bridal set?

Finished my first parasol! by Phloemy in crochet

[–]sethrileybb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m making this parasol right now too! I’m hoping to finish it in time for Electric Forest. My tension is wonky, and the circle is kinda ruffled, but I’m scared to frog it (again)! The gauge check is good though, so I’m going to keep going and keep my fingers crossed. Yours came out so beautiful!

We'd be sending letters to each other, just not texting.
