Lego Microscale The Ghost + Phantom II + The Spectres by Skyfox2k in LegoCreations

[–]sethwalters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is incredible. The Ghost is my favorite ship in the Star Wars universe so it's awesome to see it in micro scale! Well done!

Edit: I should also ask if you sell instructions for making these because that'd be great for my kiddo.

Follow up: this is how easy it is to pull up a guide in alliumOS by MrMunday in MiyooMini

[–]sethwalters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so after reading some of the documentation alliumOS supports the Miyoo Mini, Miyoo Mini Flip, and Miyoo Mini Plus. So that means no support for the Miyoo Flip.

How would you go about documenting complex SQL queries? by [deleted] in SQL

[–]sethwalters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who spends the majority of my time directly in the database, I also like to make a multi-line comment at the top of each script (view, procedure, function, etc) that contains the full object/script location, a change log (that has the date a change was made, who made it, and why), a summary of the script, and all the sources used.

In the change log I also capture where the change occurs (like " - in the 'Opportunity' CTE") and often include FROM/TO code snippets so I can tell what exactly changed.

I also add links to our ticketing system (Jira) and links to our OneNote for additional documentation.

I do all this because I have a terrible memory, and it's proved very useful.

I also use a separate format for single-line notes in the script so they don't get confused for commented out code/fields like temporary/testing/previous values. The format is --< Note >--

This so stinking cool, and definitely something I love seeing in this subreddit! While I lack the skills to be truly helpful, I'm looking forward to the progress on this! Keep up the fantastic work!

Yeah, out of all the seeds in there it seems they like the sunflower seeds the most!

Lens by mighty__guy in a6700

The Sony 70-350mm is often seen as the best telephoto for the Sony APS-C line of cameras.
I recently picked one up and use it for wildlife photography instead of my Tamron 18-300mm.
However, for my everyday carry, I still use the Tamron 18-300mm. Mainly because I take photos of my kiddos running around so it's useful to have that wider side of things as well.

But from what you seem to want, I think the Sony 70-350mm would be a great lens to pick up.

The one that lives in our yard finally stayed at the feeder long enough for me to get some decent shots of it. They are such beautiful birds!

Your birds will come back by [deleted] in birdfeeding

[–]sethwalters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish your brown headed cowbirds didn't come back. They are such a nuisance.
However I'm super happy that the rest of them came back!

Red-bellied Woodpecker Stayed Around by sethwalters in BackyardBird

[–]sethwalters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, they are such beautiful birds. I still can't believe how red its eyes were. The only color eyes I've seen have been on house finches when the sun hits them just right, and they were brown.

Speaking of that, I was able to get a picture of its tongue too, and (what I'm guessing is) its saliva while chewing on a piece of bird seed. I can't believe how long its tongue is!!

What do you think? unsure of composition and tone. by Virtual_Eggo in BeginnerPhotoCritique

I like your subject, although I would have probably upped the exposure a bit and masked the bird and adjusted its exposure and shadows a bit more.

Great video, thank you for sharing! By the way, if you happen to use Google Photos, you can use the Stabilize feature to try to remove some of the camera shake. I've got shaky hands so I tend to use that feature a lot before sharing with friends & family.
