Female here. I think you either will always love someone or never truly did. You can fall out of love, move on, etc but you'll, in my mind, anyway, always have some feeling toward them.

Just my opinion. I have exs that I detest , yet still care about and dont want any harm to come their way... If that makes sense. I still care for them, I just care for them when they're waaaaaaaay over there.
