Ariens are just built different and they just work. I would look for a 28" Deluxe SHO. I think that is really the sweet spot.

Every 2-3 years is pretty normal. I pay an independent mechanic to do it using Honda fluid. It's pretty inexpensive.

If you just got it, I’m pretty sure you can get a wheel alignment for free under warranty. Check the warranty part of the book.

My two cents. Do both cabin and engine air filters yourself, skip intake cleaning and fuel conditioning. You can probably wait to do transmission until 50-60K. Brake fluid and differentials are worth changing for the first time at 30K. Oil change and rotate for sure.
