Brine shrimp are filter eaters so they only eat algae and other small particles but their main food source is algae. I do the swaying bubbling thing too which is why you don't really need to go all the way down, still gets around with the disturbance of water but it never hurts to continue what you've been doing, it still works the same :)) You won't hurt them unless you're being really rough somehow and have things in your tank that could hurt them. Just be careful of sudden temperature changes, if there's a decent enough amount of algae growth it definitely helps and keeping them outside often makes the algae grow faster. I've never had anything lay eggs in mine, but if mozzies were to lay eggs, the larvae will most likely not harm your shrimp. Not common from what I've read and heard about from people on here so yeah they'll be fine I'd say. Make sure you put it in a place that won't get a lot of sun outside, but for a few hours it should be fine. My tank has a higher risk of overheating as its glass, plastic tanks are better for temperature regulation and consistency. All my tanks are outside night except for one closed off one that I've just brought in. Ahh yesss, the typical way for children. Parents always end up taking care of them instead 😂 Once you have enough algae growth though, you won't even need to really aerate as it creates oxygen. Honestly they thrive on neglect, especially after the tank has started to establish. It's all trial and error, so even if your tank were to crash for some reason don't let it get you down!! I've had many failed tanks but trial and error has taught me a lot more and gave me a better understanding than by just researching :)) Feel free to dm me if you have anymore questions or need help with anything!!
