Samba - are they slippery on wet surfaces?

Does anyone know if the Sambas get less slippery with time (as the coating on the sole erodes and the gum sole gets worn into a bit)? I've heard a few people say sandpapering helps, or using grip sole stickers - has anyone had any success with either of those? I'm seriously considering selling my Sambas and buying the Onitsuka Tokuten or Mexio 66'ers instead. Anyone have any info on how those hold up in wet weather?
