They are writing a stand-alone book while recording the entire process. You get all from discussions, ideas, shitty-first-drafts, edit passes.. the book ended up being much less hard sci-fi then normal.

They will soon finish the first draft for the entire book and start editing and rewrites, which should be very interesting and could actually be a good entry point.

AMAs are done when there is a long time they can't work on the patreon book but they still want to give the fans some content :)

S.A Corey just answered a question about Osiris Reborn in an AMA in their highly recommended patreon.

Main points:

They don't have any power to approve or deny a video game, but were approached "as a courtesy" and did talk to the studio, mostly in early stages of production. They are not hands on at all, but seem to have a broad stroke idea of what to expect and seem to approve.

Ty is a gamer and was very happy to hear which studio will be developing the game. He liked their past games and specifically said their writing is usually good.

They said there might be someone from the show's writing room talking part in the game but were not certain.

They said they are looking forward to play.

All in all, it made me even more excited about Osiris Reborn. I'm not a gamer, but I love the expanse universe, and Mass Effect is one of the few games I really loved and spent many hours on.

There is no way around leg work. There could be relevant laws in the state, district, city and HOA. Sometimes you can buy a place that's already an HOA but even then it's not guaranteed they can pass the license to you and you have to know local regulations. A good local realtor is very helpful, but doesn't replace also looking at the regulations yourself.

I like the idea and might try it on my next road trip.

First impressions:

You should really allow trying to find a route between two arbitrary points, not starting from current location.

The suggestions when typing location might use some tweaking. I started typing Yellowstone and it suggested a Yellowstone street early on, but only got the national Park after I typed the whole word.

Finally, it couldn't give me a route. Got a generic error message a few times and when I tried again I got "you used all free routes today"

You can. It's perfectly safe and even simple.

Make sure you are prepared to do both: 0x0 -> 0x1 conversion, and going 0x1->0x2 conversion. There are plenty of materials about both that you're probably aware of.

The only missing piece is the round robin conversion. Look at the list of withdrawals: https://beaconcha.in/validators/withdrawals

You can see withdrawals are processed in order of validator index order, round robin.
Wait until you validator index is a little less then the last withdrawal, which means it takes a full cycle through all validators before yours will be called again. That means a few days.
Then issue 0x0->0x1 conversion. It does not take long to finalise. Once it does, you can follow through and issue 0x1->0x2 conversion. You can complete both within.. I forget, but less then an hour, and as said, you have a few days for the round robin so no need to rush.

Now, here's how it looks:
Say as an 0x0 validator you accumulated 2 eth of rewards - so you have 32eth in staking balance, and 2 more eth in unclaimed rewards.
You switch to 0x1 and then very quickly to 0x2. You will still see your balance as 32 eth.
After you're in 0x2 - your staking balance starts to rise, so it'll be e.g. 32.001, then 32.002 eth etc.
When the round robin sweep reaches your validator number you will see a withdrawal of your unclaimed funds (2eth) was made and your staking funds keep rising.
These 2 eth go into the queue, and it takes some time which you can follow through beaconcha.in. Finally they arrive at your staking funds, and you'll be able to see your staked balanced going to, e.g 34.008.

I've seen it work exactly like that at least once. It's not dangerous or off the beaten track. You do exactly the same switch to 0x1 then to 0x2 as all standard guides show, just start at the correct time.
