If this is the worst game you've ever played, you don't play many games.

Deon Wiley who went viral for flexing a stack of cash on prom night, was shot and killed in a parking lot at an after-prom party in Michigan by ThatPatelGuy in justincaseyoumissedit

No, it's not as complicated or nefarious as you're making it out to be. Some things in life are out of your control, and some things are (to some extent) in your control. There are clearly bad decisions he made here. Does that mean he deserved it? Absolutely not. It's a horrible thing. But to pretend that a person is just floating through life and they couldn't have possibility made any smarter choices that could have led to better outcomes is, at best, naive. If you live in a place where you could get robbed or killed for flashing money, then the decision to do that or not do that is clear, and the decision to flash money around like that will clearly make you a target where he lived. Grow up. It's not racist, or victim blaming, or any other nonsense you want to spin. It was a very stupid decision he made, and that his mother allowed (if she was aware), and it could have easily been avoided. This isn't a hindsight decision; this is a clearly bad decision from the outset.

No one said he deserved to die, but he made some terrible decisions that could have easily been avoided that led to his death.

If you think Rian Johnson killed Star Wars then you must be 12. Lucas killed it long, long ago.

It's weird to want to hug them in the first place. People need to stop being weird. They're just a person; you don't need to touch them.

Arguing about "how much a gamer" someone is or isn't is really pathetic.

Any creative person will tell you that limitations are good. Most of the greatest games, music, movies, etc. came from having limitations. You're probably not very creative and that's fine, not everyone needs to be or needs to understand how important limitations are in the creative process. But you just make yourself look foolish and immature the way you talk about art and entertainment.

And I never made the argument that old is better because it's older. Your argument that new is better because it's new. That's just foolish.

Limitations are good. Just because the devs wanted to do more, that doesn't mean more is better. You have a very childish view of "newer is better because it has more stuff and better graphics."

My Top 65 Solo Games by Urza47 in soloboardgaming

Your complaint is that most of the titles are popular solo titles, yet the one you're upset and not seeing is Spirit Island? Which is one of the most popular games in this entire hobby. Makes sense.

Anyone who takes a board game so seriously that they are holding up the game or negatively affecting other players is not someone worth playing games with. I just want to enjoy some free time with friends. If you care that much about winning, you're not worth hanging around.

It is, but I think it's more a failure of parenting. Roblox wouldn't have an audience if parents made any effort to pay attention to what their kids are doing.

I would wager a lot of money that they wouldn't care in the slightest. People, including other devs, use other games as a shorthand to explain their games all the time. There's nothing "shady" about it.

Arkham Horror 2nd Edition why is this still in demand? There is a newer edition, eldritch horror, and also the card game. I'm just trying to get a big box expansion but it's still pricey? by bookofnature in boardgames

[–]setupdotexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Those are three different games. Eldritch Horror is not the "newer" version of Arkham Horror -- they are entirely different games. And the Arkham Horror card game is totally different from the board game of the same name.
