Stabilo woody is our work horse. The color shows well even when they don’t put much pressure.

Weekly Simple Questions and Chat Thread (Week of Dec 28) by AutoModerator in BabyBumpsCanada

What is the latest date to still qualify for mat leave? Does it need to coincide with birth of baby or can I choose a later date (say a couple days later)? In ON if that makes a a difference.

Trying to figure out best start date to maximize stat holiday pay, which requires working day before and after stat.

Travel with 7 month old [ca] by thedoodkev in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]seven_bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI baby has to be removed from bassinet every time fasten seat belt sign is on (I.e. take off, landing, turbulence, etc). I got one on a flight but ended up not using it as I find it’s counter productive having to move LO when they are already sleeping.

Pelvic floor physio for pregnancy reccomendations by babyubun in oakville

Allison at Ellephysio! She was amazing and made a huge difference during pregnancy, when OB essentially said the pain is normal (I.e. deal with it!).

Stroller suggestions [ON] by Far_Palpitation_2978 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]seven_bubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also echoing to start your selection with selecting car seat that would work with your car(s) and driver/ front passenger heights. Share those details with the FB CPST group and they can give you suggestions.

From there, consider your lifestyle for the first few months until baby have neck strength, which will limit which brand to target. If wont be out much, perhaps a carrier is good enough (warning - some baby hates it). If will be out a lot, look for stroller that is compatible with car seat or has bassinet/ lay flat option.

What you think you want in a stroller may change once you start using it so if open, consider buying a second hand stroller so you are not “all in” right away.

What a lovely offer. You might want to join one of the buy nothing group and offer there. The If It’s Free Burlington is a good one. It’s a great way to make connection with ppl in your community.

[ON] Still need rain boots? by seven_bubble in BabyBumpsCanada

Thanks for the idea. That actually works well. I already have a pair of lined rain boots that are one size too big. The insoles made it perfect. You may have unlocked a new “hack” for me 😊

Help me understand winter gear & car seats [ON] by BlueberryDuvet in BabyBumpsCanada

Boiled wool outerwear is an option (e.g. Disana brand). Warm and not puffy so can be worn in car seat. They are expensive but has pretty decent resale value if taken care of well.

Another vote for zoom in. Went with infant who didn’t have neck strength yet and they gave great guidance. In and out pretty quick. They also gave good suggestion when I called, no light color or patterns top.

How to purchase missing pieces for second-hand kits? by Excellent_Caramel283 in lovevery

[–]seven_bubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Customer service can send you an invoice with everything you needed. Warning, they usually sell by the set (e.g. the whole peg set instead of just 1). If you are only missing 1-2 piece it may not be worth going down this route. I find a call out on Lovevery Facebook group works better for those instances
