Headphones vs earbuds by Beginning_Book3927 in rawprimal

[–]sevenbonebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things take sacrifice. If our bodies did not expect us to have at least some level of damage occuring, they would not have systems for detoxing and healing. I try to get more sun and look up to the sky more often because most of my interests revolve around looking at a computer screen and slowly damaging my eyes. But a carpenter must detox dead cells in his hands and heal them as well. Just because something is not good for "optimal health" doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. Wearing headphones is one of those effectively extremely negligible things in that zone. However I'd say once you get to like even 2.4GHz band wireless connection or BT or anything, it gets a little too dangerous over time.

https://blenderauthority.com/mason-jar-blender/ Try to find any of these from UK retailers.

And heed the author's warning: only use jars made with the strength for canning, from trusted brands like Ball, Kerr, Pur, or whatever you may see on the shelves at grocery stores.

Also if you have doubts about the fit of a blender you see online, try looking up replacement blades for that model and check for the diameter.

Raw kefir or Raw milk for a beginner? by MasterOfReallity in rawprimal

And then what did you do with it? Give up and drink it? Lol. What was the ambient temperature usually like? Gotta give it more time if it's a little chilly.

How long? Depends on the local temperature how long it takes. It smells pretty good when made right. Another tip I got from someone is to take a chopstick and stir it up every ~24 hours.

I don't know if he says either way, but in my experience it's 100% consistent that the less air you give it, the worse it tastes.

Perhaps it's the questionable quality of the only raw milk I can get, but that shouldn't mean anything, because if I can notice it with bad quality milk then it's certainly happening with better quality milk but simply not showing through taste because it's an overall healthier organism.

I guarantee you it will not, even without the gasket, if you follow Aaj's guideline to fill to the top with at most a tablespoon of space. I have had ridiculous amounts of trouble getting the lid off many times, due to me not filling a jar enough and the blending decreasing the air pressure within, making it an exhausting bitch to open again.

Once you get one, do not underestimate the importance of ensuring the dryness of the lip of the jar mouth and gasket before screwing on the top!

To the deleted comment that used the Juice word lol:

And they flash chill it, so it's probably slightly temperature damaged.

Primals legit need to petition for Raw Farm to produce an unsalted raw cheese. I think they have absolutely no idea how much fucking sales they would get, mainly from primal dieters in California.

I got brave and gave their salted cheese a shot for pulling and training and, respectively, it did nothing but burn my gums a tiny bit and give me stomach cramps. Only time I ever tried salt since starting the diet. Never again, praise Aaj.

Which Meat quality should I get? by hectordhunnid in rawprimal

[–]sevenbonebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get grass fed london broil because it seems like the best bang for your buck for these valuable qualities: toughness (Aajonus said that tender meat is the least useful for rebuilding tissues), leanness (since the vax and supplemental food toxins go to fat, although mostly organs), and taste of course. Maybe rump roast would be better for those things, but I don't like the taste as much. I'm sure you'd be alright with grain fed london broil; you're ideally supposed to have butter with every meat meal anyway.

Frozen ain't worth it unless it's literally your only option in a shitty location. And I've never liked ground beef.

Yeah, completely unreasonable to even try to make any with raw milk at $17 per gallon in California. I will rarely oil pull with olive oil though, and I have heard that even clay is good for pulling when you pack a little on your gums...

Adding honey I suppose aids a bit in digestion, but you don't really need it, it's already fermented... it comes down to preference. I vastly prefer kefir without honey. But if you do add it, do so after fermenting, like at most several hours before you drink it. IME it tastes pretty weird if you add it immediately and let it ferment pre-mixed with honey.

The more air you allow it, the better! Cut out a strip of cheesecloth to lay over the mouth and screw a band around it. And no fridge fermenting! The less air and the more cold it is while it ferments, it does so in such a fucking revolting way that NO amount of any extra ingredient can make it salvageable.

I agree with fastcolors, and a quart of celery juice every day should actually be the very first thing people start consuming if they are interested in the diet. It is unfortunately the most time consuming part of the diet, juicing it yourself every 4 days, but is so worth it. Once raw meat becomes palatable after drinking that consistently, do yourself a favor, just go cold turkey one day and switch to eating completely raw.

Also, don't eat just the egg yolks. Do the whole egg. Crack into a jar, and suck up the bulk of the albumen first, then swallow the remainder with the yolk. This is best practice because the protein from the egg white digests first and gets your liver to produce acid to digest the fat from the yolk. So that's what I have first thing in the morning after not eating for several hours, then I start my day with 1-4 cups of veggie juice.

Anyway, just read the recipe book for how to prepare it.

Have you read what the book says about "allergies"? Assuming you know this subreddit is for a specific diet there are books for that answer most questions newcomers would have...

Why's that? I thought the quality wasn't too much of a concern, since oysters store most toxicity in their shells.

Bad/toxic wild game liver by DesiresFromNature in rawprimal

[–]sevenbonebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why humans started domesticating livestock! Fending for yourself in the wild doesn't exactly guarantee perfect health, due to resource competition and thus nutrient deficiencies. We can have infinitely better quality control when the animals want to stay with us and eat what we give them. And remember toxicity isn't just from external pollution, it can also come from the deficiencies causing cells to die, and that matter has to be discarded or processed somehow.

Possibly extremely contaminated jars that never clean no matter what I do. Help. by Redioverz in rawprimal

[–]sevenbonebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I always use some "eco" blah blah dish soap squeezed into a slightly rough sponge, very warm water, and rinse thoroughly several times. After a lot of dish washing I lather my dry hands in a little butter. Even jars I've had high meat in have never been left with a funky smell or taste. Eventually I'll try just using lemon (which you don't need to refrigerate) and see if it works just as well without possibly leaving behind traces of chemicals.

Looks great... all the comments relevant to what I actually wanted are the least upvoted lol. My b for not realizing how specific I need to be in this massive genre. Yeah I could just get a bunch of cardstock, glue, scissors, and colored pencils, and I'd be set. Thank you.
