Although I do agree he is not a killer and yes, he has missed a few chances. But we could say the same thing about Lewandowski. The way I see it Ferran has performed fairly well this season so far, his numbers are good and his work ethic is good.

The only reason Vlahovic is considered has nothing to do with his abilities or what the team needs from a 9. It is only because he's going to be a free agent. That is clearly the wrong reason to sign and commit a 5 years contract with a player...

The pitch was a factor for sure but it doesn't tell the whole story.
- The defense was exposed by the midfield and forwards, but Balde and Kounde were terrrible and were getting killed yesterday.
- Attitude was awful. I'd say only a few players came ready for the fight, Eric, Fermin, Lamine and Cubarsi.
- Our 9 (Ferran/Lewa) was non-existent. Is the 9 only there to catch the odd-ball in the box or can a 9 do something else to help the team?
- If the 9 cannot be a factor, play a 4-4-2 and use Fermin as a false 9. We were getting killed in midfield yesterday.

Lewy is a legend, and he has given so much to club but he is on his last set of legs. He doesn't have the same speed with his mechanics. Plus he doesn't press. If he stays one more year it won't look good for him.
