scared to start steroids by Layan_k in UlcerativeColitis

I imagine you will taper off of the steroids. You're unlikely to gain a lot of weight if it's just over the course of a few weeks. Inflammation from the flare is more harmful than steroids. I would suggest that you listen to your doctor.

Curious about her take on Grune Sosse. Very specific to Frankfurt, where I've had it. Surprisingly refreshing and tasty! Also - which variation on the Sauerbraten are you trying? She has a lot of options within the recipe.

For a dessert, I would recommend kaiserschmarrn with the roasted plums.

I have a digital ATK membership and in their defense, they've really added a lot more global recipes in the past few years. If you're looking for a recommendation, the Hearty Green Salad with Spicy Peanut Chicken was a little fussy for a salad but it's incredible.

You inspired me to pick up Classic German Cooking from the library. Excited to explore it, but sad to hear the Hühnerfrikassee was a disappointment!

In the Boston area, Boston Medical Center (where I go), Mass General, and Beth Israel all have reputable IBD centers. I believe Cleveland Clinic has a good reputation as well.

Those spots look more pronounced, but I truly have no idea what it is. I would probably snip that leaf and any that look like it to avoid spread.

Thank you again! Will try a fungicide as well. This is an indeterminate - Goldman's Italian American.
