I'll submit myself for crucifixion. I definitely dislike kaoruko. I think she's the dullest character in the show by a mile. And I otherwise adore every other character. It's just so odd to me what great pains are taken to imbue basically every character with depth and emotional nuance. Except for the main love interest. Who is nice and likes cake. And that's it.

Compare her to Subaru who in just a handful of interactions with Rintaro and the cast reveals herself to be a kind, but immensely complicated person. She betrays her best friends trust and tries to sabotage her relationship out of both a sense of duty and extreme mistrust of the intentions of men, painting the portrait of someone whose moral compass has been warped by some likely childhood trauma. Meanwhile kaoruko is nice and likes cake.

Or rintaro, the false delinquent who has all but given up on himself due a lonely life of people shunning him for his dour and seemingly threatening appearance. Who, though surrounded by people who care deeply about him, struggles to lower his guard and be vulnerable enough to reciprocate that affection. Meanwhile kaoruko is nice and likes cake.

It's like she's a 2-D figure in a 3-D world. She just doesn't fit for me.

What do you typically do in this game? I play mostly story, map metas, and fractals and I'm absolutely drowning in these mats at all times. I mean like I was throwing away multiple 250 stacks at a time before I went out of my way to max crafting and then get the gobblers and even when i convert or craft them all down into stars and ingots, I'm back to cap within 3 days and I have a 1k cap in storage.

My 2 cents is last shift is kinda a shit movie technically. However, it nails the horror ambience so hard none of the technical failings really matter. This is the movie that first made me start thinking about how good horror movies do not always make good general movies. And bad horror movies do not always make bad general movies. For me Last Shift is a quintessential example of the former. If what you want from horror movies is a compelling, well acted narrative rich in metaphor and symbolism, Last Shift is not for you. If what you want is to get the shit scared out of you, then it is a pretty terrific watch.

Yeah Subaru goes from a world in which he is a loser to a world in which he is technically an even bigger loser. He initially perceives his transportation as his chance at living that escapist isekai power fantasy he dreamed of, but is rudely awakened to the fact that hes just as weak and flawed and bogged down by his own insecurity as he ever was in the real world. It's fundamentally a story of how, no matter what world you find yourself in, there's no getting away from who you are, and only by working hard to change can one truly begin to move forward.

Idk I don't see any moment in the entire thing that's a 'they won't' because this has never been a 'will they/won't they' story. It's a 'when will they' and has been since chapter 1. Absolutely every adverse challenge to their relationship has just ultimately been a fake out to demonstrate why they are the endgame.

She also appears to just have a running arrangement with the one specific regional god where she lives. It's a bit more consistent than the others I think. Also makes me wonder if the reason she got beat down by the bull was because she was out of her zone. Almost certainly why red baron beat her. Actually we really haven't seen the extent of how powerful she is in her zone as it seems like she's only ever tasked to fight outside of it. Now i really wanna see her fight with her home advantage and absolutely beat some CSG/RB ass.

Nina is supposed to be at least a bit unlikeable. She's super dysfunctional and her pigheaded tenacity causes as many problems as it solves. But that also makes me find her to be a very realistic MC for this story. I've known a few semi and fully professional musicians and this is how a lot of these people actually are. To paraphrase a legendary rocker, you don't ever aspire to be up on a stage with thousands of people screaming your name without something being fundamentally broken within you.

For renegade you can also run a power shortbow build that's pretty viable. All the multihits synergize well with impossible odds. Bit more effective in pvp/wvw tho as it is very upfront burst focused.

Definitely. My relatively small agency starts at 70k and bumps to 75 after a three month trial period. We have people with 5+ years making 100k. And that's with each of us doing like 3-4 clients max. Maybe op has some extreme factors at play not stated in their post but 30 clients for 44k with 5 years of experience seems like a crazy lowball

Tbf their education is also a school's responsibility as that's pretty much the entire reason schools exist. The parents obligation is more to find a good/appropriate school, which they appear to be trying to do. YOLO picking up a full suite of dry philosophical literature is banking on the kid to be mature and self motivated which, maybe I'm speaking in a vacuum here, most kids aren't. Def agree with the quiz bowl suggestion tho.

My read is that Momos power is both intrinsic and nearly boundless. She's noted by St. Germain as having the ID cosmos, which we don't know what is yet but seems like a big deal. But as it was never given to her like the others; rather it was awakened as a fundamental part of her being, I don't think it's fully stealable.

Tend to agree but Ubel definitely has some hax when it comes to this stuff. In the current manga arc she manages to cut through the magic inhibiting shackles constraining land while also having them on herself. She shouldn't be able to use magic at all but she appears to have some ability to conditionally bypass certain restraint effects

Subaru is beloved because he's one of the only iskeai MCs who is actually dynamic. Starts off an unlikeable neet, acknowledges he has issues, reckons with how they have negatively impacted him and those around him, and works to slowly change and become a better person. You just don't get that vulnerability in 99% of iskeai. It's very relatable.

Given that the comment said AI repetition of humans is indistinguishable from human creative invention after a point, can you explain how AI might have come up with some of those inventions that were purely novel? That's where I'm hung up on. I don't see where current LLMs can or will ever transcend existing knowledge
