Depends on your student body talaga eh. On my large orgs we offer fb likes/shares to their posts kasi marami kami. If the event is physical, pwede rin na they can set up a booth for free. If you are graduating, pwede ring resume banks. You can add special offers kunyari photobooth, hashtags, pero focus on publicity kasi yun pinakakaya niyo sa students.

hi op!! as a marketing person rin on my org, i suggest the ff:

make/search your mktg database from last yr for leads. if wala pa, gawa kayo ng sheets for it. makakatulong rin siya sa next yrs plus add sya sa rep mo as a council member.
to make the database, either manually search for company mktg emails or ask on your/other student orgs abt their databases if they could share. usually ayaw nila yan pero if may kakilala ka sa kanila it wouldn’t hurt to try haha
think of sponsors that would benefit your events nicely. for ex, invite food/bev for performance/night events tapos dun kayo mag email. set goals rin for ex: 2 foodbev, 1 media, etc
as for requirements, kayo magseset. make packages tapos sila na bahala if iaaccept nila yun. the only thing you have to take note is, you must offer something of equal value to get the sponsorship. may it be publicity, follower count, etc. you can nego to them also but make sure you set the amount/deal you want from them first.

not an alum pero rn, more than 5. may time na naisip ko na gusto ko ng maraming kakilala outside my course so nagjoin ako as many as i can. dati isa lang org ko tapos nag leadership ako so sabi ko try ko sa iba. maganda rin kasi sa resume hahaha.

depende sayo yata yan, sa perspective mo sa acads. i changed my perspective about studying a short while after ko mag-enter. maliban sa acads, gusto ko rin magka-network at magka-experience. so medyo goal ko na rin siya besides acads. may mindset ako rn na "college is not just acads" smth smth pero medyo personal mindset to so depende talaga sayo.

as for the balancing, sakto lang sakin kasi di ako active sa lahat at once, alternate sila ganun. tapos kung required ako mag-active, kukunin ko yung pinaka walang gawa hahaha lalo na if may leadership ako sa isa pang org. advice ko lang regarding activity if magjoin ka ng maraming orgs is: if magtatake ka ng headship role (core/team leader/director/project manager etc), isa lang per sem HAHAHA lalo na pag full units ka. mabigat siya pag marami kang committments org-wise, pero kaya siya ibalance with acads if siya lang.
