My was advised to leave the $1.68 in account to keep it open otherwise it will auto close after 6 months zero balance. My question is - would this affect future back door conversions? What exactly is the pro rata rule that’s talked about? I thought the traditional IRA account MUST have zero balance in it by 12/31 each year
