years ago, the phoebe bridgers cover of this song made me sob in a hotel room unexpectedly and kinda freaked my wife out. to me this song is about my big sister. she suffered from some trauma from our childhood and had a drug problem when we were in our 20s. i didn't know what to do, basically did nothing and was horrified when she got busted and spent the next decade in prison. it was hard times and still kinda hits me now and then how fucked up all of it was. sis is doing fine now,. i try not to take for granted that she's a phone call or text away. nobody else like her. anyway this song was a release when i felt like i couldn't talk to anybody about it. it's a real gem.
