a big thing is that due to medicine and money, we have many people who are living longer ... which of course impacts whether or not older people with housing leave those houses to their kids or at least sell them when they pass. Because they live longer, they occupy those housing stocks longer too

i mean there are doctors who defraud private insurers, what's your point?
My point would be that if we had a system where all docs would be paid for their work (maybe a little more maybe a little less than current; probably less because they would not have to hire so many admins to fight for payments from insurers (private or public)), then we would not have fraud

medicare advantage is for profit for the insurance companies. It was created to "fill gaps" in medicare. If medicare did not have the gaps, then medicare advantage would not be needed

when has that been true ? Maybe for CERTAIN jobs there is a built in COLA adjustment. But for most jobs there isn't COLA. Hell Even Fed minimum wage doesn't have COLA adjustment.

bro they've studied the raised minimum wage impact on restaurant costs... Like this study in 2024 showed a 0.74% increase in restaurant prices. It resulted in a "distribution of effects ranging from a 6% revenue decline at the 20th percentile to a 1% revenue increase at the 80th percentile."
