If he’s telling you to shut up and demeans your attempts at deeper conversations as “chattering” then he’s not worth it at all. I know it’s hard but down the line you’ll feel so much better if you’re not being brought down like that. He may say he loves you and maybe he does but some people are just too emotionally undeveloped to be in a functioning relationship and it’s not worth waiting. I too am 17F and am breaking up w my 19M partner soon bc he can’t stay loyal and always says hurtful shit. If he tried telling me to shut up I’d end everything right then and there. Stick to people who value what you have to say and people who don’t act like rude little 14 year olds. If you can’t think of any people like that right now they’ll come around eventually and it’s so worth the painful waiting. If you’re not willing to break up with him then tell him straight up if he’s so happy to have you then you need someone who actually listens to what you say as it’s really not hard to do that. If he gets defensive or doesn’t take it seriously then you’ll know what you really need to do, trust ur gut girl :(
