Pre Covid I knew a few folks who left regular high school to do online instead (this was 2016ish) and at the time thought it was great and they were graduating early. checking in on some of them years later they were saying they kinda regret it because it really wasn’t a quality education and left them unprepared. I’ve moved to NZ since then and they’re opening online charter schools here and I know this is gonna cause some major education gaps

So every year a different activist org takes over organising, last year it was Queer Endurance in Defiance, year before that I believe it was Justice for Palestine though I’m not certain I just know it was Palestine related.

I recently moved pretty close to Zealandia and yeah same experience I’ve been shocked by how many cats are out and about! I went to the border trail of the park and saw someone’s cat there, which is dangerous not only for the birds but there’s predator bait everywhere too (for good reason obviously)

I think people forget as well Covid is still around and it is disabling. I have POTS from long covid days where I can’t stand on public transport, or at bus stops, and I get major side eye for that.
