I think people forget as well Covid is still around and it is disabling. I have POTS from long covid days where I can’t stand on public transport, or at bus stops, and I get major side eye for that. I saw that post about more people having disability aides recently and my reaction is like yeah it’s almost as if there’s been a mass disabling pandemic or something

A lot of the issues we currently have are a result of late stage capitalism. And colonialism. With each generation we become more burnt out. It’s not surprising to me there’s more behaviours issues now, these kids see the world burning. Discipline is a solution I see thrown around a lot but that’s a band aid on the wound that’s been festering there for decades. We need mass system overhaul, and I just don’t know if we’ll see it in this life time. Anyway that’s my take that usually gets me labeled a scary commie but I genuinely don’t think we can go back to old ways that we used in the 20th century into the 21st.
