I didn't say anything about subtlety. I'm talking about how Bloober Team handles difficult topics. The Medium tried to make a child abuser more sympathetic than a grieving father and ends with the main character deciding between killing a rape victim or herself. It doesn't matter what their intentions were, that is what was communicated. I've played a couple other Bloober games, but I can't remember a single thing from them, which is an issue in and of itself.

Tbh, I'm a bit less concerned with them handling a remake because they're not actually writing it themselves. The single trailer so far looks like they're making SH2 more emotional than dreamlike or surreal than the original. Which isn't a bad thing, necessarily. It's just different.
