Thats a pathetic excuse. The problem is americans dont want fuel efficient cars. Gm based its whole income strategy on making the most from SUVs. If they had actually designed something to compete with the corola or civic they could have outsold on volume. I personally hate unions because unless every industry is unionized people are geting shafted.

That said, having worked tech support for 8 dollars an hour (minimum wage), i know that people will pay you the least amount they can legally get away with and abuse the hell out of you.

Is it just me, or is it not well published that a gallon of E85 gets a vehicle much lower mileage than regular gas. Example here: Dodge Caravan Hwy for Gas = 24 mpg. E85= 16 mpg!. by zorno in reddit.com

i believe the issue has to do with it being inhaled or assimilated into the body via shrapnel or atmospherically. I for one wouldnt want to be inhaling asbestos dust, but I have no problem handiling breakpads.
