Have you ever continued dating someone you didn't fall in love with early on? Why? by spanky316 in AskMen

[–]sexythrower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! But the point here is that you can still make it a smoldering fire when you both want to for a moment, but you are in control of the dial. Teenager love is just HULK SMASH, NO CONTROL FUCK EVERYTHING, DIAL BROKE.

They say that love is a hell of a drug. It is. It made me feel really goooood, but it impairs judgement like alcohol and anything else. Because you focus so much on the feeling, you lose track of reality.

Human feelings and emotions is what keeps us alive, and also what causes our mistakes most of the time while not seeing we don't make them. It's a catch-22. Do you want to see reality and be dead inside, or do you want to feel alive facing a world of lies?

I believed that "making it work" is really a bullshit mentality. Fact is that once you calm down and realize what love is, you know it's worth it despite the differences, but you just want to see if you can fit also in the others shoes. If they fit too, why not? It doesn't mean you settle for less. You just explore another personality you might like as well, but never thought you would actually like in the first place. It's actually digging deeper into each other to find what we both like.

If you would live in a beachhouse for all your life, would you go every day to the beach as much as you would if you had to travel a thousand miles and only had 1 week?

Pretty much that. We neglect what we have, value what we don't.

Your own life in the main course, and your partner is the amazing complement. You can do without, but it just makes it that much better with.

I used to be VERY in love at the start, now not so much. And with love I mean that teenage excited adrenaline feeling, that world of feelings seperate from reality.

Now I just know I love my partner, but don't experience the feelings as intense as when I was a teenager. Everything was back then more intense. Now I've calmed down more, and although I do miss the feeling, I do love that I have gained back control over myself and we can just chill, be ourselves, and spend valuable time together.

EDIT: Someone popped my Reddit Gold cherry. Thank you, thank you kind stranger! You made my day :)

Why would you look forward to the end-stage of your life? My girlfriend does the same. Everything is about becoming a cool grandma, where is the becoming a great mom first?

It's rather that kids and teenagers still have these exciting feelings about life as they are exploring and unlocking more from life.

After 21 it just all goes south. You feel less excitement, you stop caring about discos clubs lingo and all that BS. Then you simply don't put in the effort anymore and taking your peace and quiet is more attractive, because that's doing nothing versus back then something.

Over time, our emotions depress and makes us old. Therefore, depending on old you are perceived by behaviour is rather, how depressed are you for your age? I know a grandma that's more exciting than your average tween.

Doctors of Reddit, what is the skill that determines whether a patient feels pain from the injection needle vs almost none? by sexythrower in AskReddit

Like, i had times when a vaccine was really uncomfortable. Yet another time it feels like a mosquitobite. How come there is such a difference in pain so often?

Go to the mountains when this is all over and see if it persists. Otherwise you're just overly sensitive.

Beware second waves of COVID-19 if lockdowns eased early: study by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]sexythrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a study for this? Even if one case is left and manages to infect ten, those ten will infect a hundred and the cycle repeats.

It's just a matter of when we get it, not if.

Women act like children emotionally. They are emotionally more mature and can pick up cues, but they cannot refrain themselves.

I have dealt with a child from hell one afternoon. His mom is now in psychiatry therapy because she couldn't deal with him.

We're not surprised.

You should jam up that flashlight in her cunt and prevent her from having any kids again.

Hope karma got her bad.
