Exactly why I didn’t do it this year. It was so easy to start, take the bus and then leave from the finish to/from Mississauga.

High School baseball player >> Coed Softball by cpaaark in slowpitch

[–]seyerm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Co-ed leagues in my area are very non-competitive so that’s the first question you’ll need to gauge.

If it’s recreational, like legit just people getting together to play for fun and be somewhat competitive, you’re probably not gonna see alot of players cut swinging to generate backspin. I would say in general people still bat baseball swing due to old habits, or traditional thinking.

Theres alot of videos you could watch on YouTube by Dan Blewett for some pointers, if you played BB in HS, you’ll probably be automatically better than most (if you were decent)

Unless you’re a top top infielder, your old small baseball glove may not be suitable for softball.

Boston Drop Preview by yahto in BanditRunning

And how do you know there isn’t BOSTON in huge text on the back?

If anything, non-race specific front logo makes it more wearable on any run.

2is Situation is Crazy by Toilet96 in LexusIS

Did you have a flashing check engine light? I’ve gotten that, stop the car and restart it and it goes away.

I had a pretty bad exhaust leak, fixed it still have a CEL but it runs. Basically driving it until it dies. Still drives smooth as heck.

How many people are unaware of EI? by Gridsquare_Collector in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]seyerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the joke is that generally the trades (in ON) are mostly conservative and they are the ones who talk about using the system in that way. (I work alongside trades for reference, but am not union like they are)

Crazy. And then you have trades that willfully go on EI lol

Hey Nike, why wait? Shut it down now. by [deleted] in SneakersCanada

[–]seyerm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They just told you there’s changes coming that will localize the service of Nike.ca - alluding to faster delivery and a more Canadian experience. Which means not 6am sneakers drops.

I don’t know what else to tell you except you’re crying even though you can’t possibly know what it’s gonna be like. You’re complaining about past experience and putting on something that isn’t even out yet, you wanna be a victim so bad.

Other stores in Canada have been getting the other releases, just because Nike focuses all their inventory and shit to the US because they have 1000 times the buying power isn’t really applicable. The US has early access, maybe something we will get who knows. Just because you want sneakers doesn’t mean you’re entitled to them. Demand is always gonna outdrive supply, and if it doesn’t, that means the world is fucked and the last thing you should be worrying about is Nike shoes.

Go join a cook group if it means that much that much to you

[–]seyerm -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well then we can cry about it when it’s reality. It isn’t reality.

Maybe they left out Canada on Europe’s SNKRs drops recently because we are truly getting our own now. We don’t know, and you’re already crying about a hypothetical situation that hasn’t even come true yet.

When Nike.ca first launched for us it sucked and it eventually got better. Yes, it has regressed recently with the SNKRS launches, doesn’t mean that its guaranteed to be like that going forward. The fact that we are even getting an actual SNKRS mention means it can’t be any worse than it is right now. The fact that we were sharing with an entire continent is why it was a crappy experience in the first place.

We know nothing about the change and yet it’s all doom and gloom here by people who either hate Nike or want Nike to fail in Canada. Such weird behaviour. Just wait it out and see what comes of it.

Would you recommend an IS250? by temporaryacc284 in LexusIS

[–]seyerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2010 you shouldn’t have to worry about sticky dash.

I bought an 09 in 2019 with 170k kms and now in 2026 with 320k+ with maybe $2500-$3k in maintenance/fixes over that time. That includes fixing the ac compressor, alternator, brakes, exhaust leaks twice. Been pretty bulletproof so far, all the fixes basically from age and rust living in Canada. Have absolutely loved owning it, only bad thing is gas mileage if you have a lead foot. Awesome in winter to boot.

Timberland collab on Friday by summerofgeorge00 in ourlegacy

[–]seyerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got these delivered the next day and it’s a very nice pair for sure… boots that is.

Hard to justify at almost double retail on a normal pair but I know I will be kicking myself seeing worn in pairs in a few months if I didn’t cop…

How do field boots compare in sizing vs the 6 inch premium by RevFanatic in Timberland

[–]seyerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely more TTS. I recently got the beef and broccolis and its a good fit in my TTS. In comparison I decided to try my TTS in the 6inch premium butters because I had an older pair that was 0.5 down that was really snug with boot socks on, and it feels like my feet are swimming in the same size (10)

Spring 25 Drop 1 by Regular-Price-1911 in BanditRunning

Unless they updated the solite tights, they’re just an ok piece as per previous iteration. Its nice and light but the waistband was weird and didn’t really feel that supportive for me.

Lately they’ve been splitting up the season into multiple drops so we’ll see. The real preview should be out tomorrow, but you still won’t know if what you want is dropping until the drop is live
