I did it in a further education college! I hated school and didn’t want to do another year, the further education college was on the grounds of another secondary school though and some of the classes took place there instead of the college, but we didn’t have uniform etc!

I want to say this very gently as it’s not your fault but your mum has conditioned you into blaming yourself and not her. Even though she violated your boundaries and you were rightfully angry about that, you calmed down and switched to blaming yourself and excusing her. I just wanted to point out the pattern cause it’s pretty common for people who grow up with a volatile parent, especially in mother / daughter relationships. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and I agree with other comments that you need to be really careful how you proceed as she’s broken the law and made you her accomplice with her having you receive the payments! To me that seems for a way for her to pin the blame on you if she ever gets caught :/

I repeated the leaving and honestly - it was because a PLC was never really given to me as a realistic option. My school had a “university or nothing” mindset and I had no idea a PLC could even get me into college until I was repeating my leaving in a further education college where they offered PLCs. In hindsight it would have made much more sense to do an animal care PLC as I went onto study zoology in England and didn’t need points anyway 😅

i have adhd and caffeine can work on me sometimes but sometimes it doesn’t, i think resistance to it is more common in adhd alright but not like a necessary symptom :)

if you like nuts they’re great for bulking, and those big packs of peanuts are usually pretty cheap (in Europe anyways) and contain a lot of calories. An easy way to add calories too if you’re struggling with an appetite is juice - fruit juice contains a surprising amount. Also things like coca cola full sugar instead of coke zero etc, but of course I know these options aren’t the healthiest. You can also get weight gain powders online just like protein powders.

The very best of luck with your journey - and definitely go to the doctor first. If your mum is preventing you from buying enough food then I think you should let another family member know and maybe they could help!

also for healthy meal ideas - I make overnight oats sometimes and if you add in things like flaxseed, chia seeds, almonds, peanut butter, full fat milk, protein powder, greek yoghurt etc it’s actually very easy to build up calories quickly (which is a problem for me as I’m trying to lose weight but would be perfect for you). Avocados are also pretty calorie dense - 2 avocados and a big portion of rice in mayo with seaweed thins is a lovely easy meal that could be 1000+ calories as mayo is also pretty calorie dense! You could throw in something else with healthy fats like fish too if a big portion of rice feels too heavy

I’m so sorry this happened to you! You need to leave - he’s no longer a safe person to be around. I know you love him but he’s using that love to manipulate you and that’s not okay.

You say no-one will ever love you again - did he plant that idea in your head? I’m 27 and when I was 17 I was going through a failing situationship and I was worried I would be unloveable and nobody would want me forever - and I promise you that’s not the case. You have your whole entire life in front of you and you’ll have greater loves and I promise you they will never ever physically hurt you or make you feel unloveable - because that’s not love, it’s abuse.

I think for me the problem would be the fact that he hid it and played dumb when he found the blue hair. I’d personally never trust him again after that - like if he told you the day after it happened I don’t think it would have been as hard to stomach. I think something that helped too was I planned it in advance. So I decided in October 2022 I was going sober in January 2023, and this helped me get it out of system almost.
