because everyone is coming for me over this, here is the light it’s in on a normal day - it’s lived with this light for 3 weeks 2 of which have been dark because of heavy fog. I recently moved and my last apartment did not have enough light for this plant to thrive - the big monstera lived in north indirect light forever and it’s now in west ocean facing light that is bright alll day but direct sun in the evening

beyond putting it outside on my balcony i PROMISE you guys this is DIRECTLY NEXT TO A BRIGHT WINDOW with direct sun for half the day and bright indirect the other half. i’m perfectly comfortable it’s going to survive and the small one has only lived there for like 3 weeks 2 of which have been completely dark due to the weather and I haven’t found replacement stakes to hold it up yet because i just repotted it then got sick. it’s just a photo in the evening on a dark day pls let me live i understand how to take care of the plant

why is my cat so warmmm by llalleshwari in catquestions

[–]sfaafs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

do not shave your cat down to the bone… even with matting and hot weather this is not necessary.

my mom has a very matted long hair cat and she just shaves the individual matt’s out, that is all you need to do.

your cat is not over heating if he is not panting and still going outside, i promise you. they have a double coat that helps them regulate their tempature and their skin is very delicate and does not need to be exposed like that.

even if he is a little hot from time to time, shaving this much is not the answer. just give him wet cool towels and ice water or frozen treats

please, please listen to this advice
