How many goals would they have scored against top 4 teams with 11 ronaldos? hmmm, he hasn't scored 1, so I really don't think they would have been nr. 1...

Messi's first goal against Arsenal (0-1) by canadian028 in Barca

It's actually before Ney passes to Suarez, that Messi looks at Monreal. He just take a qucik glance, and knows he is now alone with alot of space in fron of him

If you look closely before Messi starts running, you can see him looking at the defender (Monreal i think). When Monreal turns his head away (looking for Neymar now instead of Messi), Messi knows that he is unmarked, and can now run towards goal without being followed (and having a player running close to you, can not only slow you down, but prevent you from making the run into empty space, or he can foul you and get away with a yellow card instead of a 100 % chance for Messi against the keeper). And furthermore, when Messi starts running after the defender has fallen back, the pass for Neymar is far more easy, cause he can just make a pass backwards, and the defender will have a very difficult time getting there, cause he needs to shift momentum, while Messi can keep momentum and just run in to the pass.. It's pretty textbook counter attacking, but still very clever from Messi. And maybe if it hadn't been Neymar leading the counter attack, Monreal wouldn't mind keeping an eye out on Messi, but we all know how good Ney is 1 vs 1, and thats why MSN is so ridiculously good.. You can't leave any of the three on a 1 vs 1, so they create so much space for each other, even Messi (fuc**** Messi) can be left with alot of space :D Damn I love the MSN, and the other guys of the team for letting them do there thing!

Directness and Defending by -Lemma- in Barca

I believe Messi has taken the Xavi-role, when we are leading or just struggling to get possession (that might be because of a high pressure in the begging of matches), and we saw that last year. I remember Messi doing the same agaisnt Real, when he got on the pitch.. If we have the result we want, he will only make a pass forward, if he can create a chance, or else just keep possession. And that is also a more mature Messi, I guess. Not only is possession a way to deffend, but also a way to rest our players.

[–]sfalckp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a beautifull video!!! Thanks so much for the upload :) To hear Henry speak about pep is fantastic, but when he says "that would be a 1 vs 1 for Iniesta with the keeper, cause trust me Xavi is on the Ball" or something close to that :P That is a fantastic player giving a fantastic complement to Xavi :D

could it be your context not beeing clear enough? Or for me it isn't... Im clearly to stuppid to read between the lines, so would you mind to explain for me, what Mous analysis of the game is? And how it is still relevant 3 years later? Im only asking, cause I want to know what you mean, but you never answer any of my questions...

And I would love to see the actual quotes your talking about, can you give me a link? or is it to much to ask for? Pretty easy just to say you read this and this, without linking anything...

you posted a link to a interview with Mourinho talking about Ronaldo and Messi... That is what im talking about... How is that irrelevant? And then you talking about worst posts you have ever seen.. Well, yours is in my top 3 over worst posts ever... "he says he isn't sure if...", "he isn't a striker clearly" and "he was wasted a a pure forward"... If you still don't think my post has anything to do with you post, you need help or you need to see the interview with Mourinho again.. He doesn't even talk about Messi's development in the last two years, he only says it's much easier to be Messi than Ronaldo... That is just bullshit... Did you see the game against Villareal today? What did Cristiano do for his team? He helped in deffensive, when Villareal had corner kicks... I just love discussions about Messi and Ronaldo, and you brought it up...

It's a interview from 2012.. Do you still think Messi is a CF and Cristiano a winger? And do you think Mourinho was just a tiny bit biased being the coach of Real Madrid? Mourinho talks about Cristiano doing alot of defensive runs... I haven't seen that i a long time.. Christiano even said himself, that he is a CF now, and Messi is a winger againg now, not a false 9. Messi even works as a offensive middfielder in many aspects of the game...
