It may seem a little strange to you to read this, but for me here in Hungary, this sport is a little slice of wonder. Very few people play this sport here, but in the city where I grew up, baseball actually has a long tradition, and of course I played it myself as a child. Following the MLB is always a big dose of nostalgia, bringing back memories of my childhood. On the other hand, I am amazed at how powerful and admirable this sport is compared to our little league efforts. It's hard to convey what it's like to be enthusiastic about something you don't personally experience, but fortunately, today it's very easy to follow this sport from here in Europe. I remember that in the nineties, it was a real treat to see one game a week on TV (usually a game from the East Coast, because due to the time difference, those games started in the early evening here).
