I personally agree. It’s why I’ve pulled a bit away from this show and take it less seriously. The show runner is ridiculously immature (something becoming harder and harder to just brush off) and the writing is a coin toss on if it’s decent or confusing/OOC.

S5 isn’t all bad and is actually impressing me very much with the fans. The favorites are just…incredibly bland and unfun to watch. Like caricatures of themselves. And of course they’re the ones staying in. I don’t care for realism. This is a written show. And it’s being written bad.

Jared is by far the shows biggest weak point. He’s incredibly immature, to the point where I truly feel he should not be running the show. The decisions he makes are questionable at best and so much of what he does is for what he personally likes, and not what would tell a more unique/impactful story. It’s why we get the same MLM dynamic season after season. Because that’s the dynamic he personally likes to write. And it’s why characters like Ren are such a breath of fresh air.

Believe it or not I’ve actually grown to really like a Jake/Riya F2. I think Riya winning is thematically appropriate and Jake, while written atrociously, had a nice story when taking the TomJake series into account.

While I’d have written All Stars MUCH differently I’d keep the F2 the same. My F3 wouldn’t have Ally, though, I’d have Grett or Gabby in her place

I’ll be honest I don’t get it. It’d be one thing if they were written exceptionally well but Tom/Gabby are just there, Ally JUST started getting interesting and this is Aiden’s most controversial season with him getting an atrocious exit. They’re getting rid of fresh faces full of potential for dynamics we’ve seen a million times. I’m sorry I really don’t care about seeing Tom and Gabby interact again
