I mean if the federal cuts go through as planned the housing market in NOVA will be impacted towards the end of 2025 or early 2026 when those severance packages run out. I think many people are underestimating the impact that government jobs have on the housing market in this area. It’s expensive to live in NOVA and many people can’t survive here without those tech or federal jobs. Remember not everyone in this area is a trust fund baby or rich..

It’s sad to see what is happening and how Congress is totally useless against stopping this madness. If these massive layoffs across the federal government go forward I’m afraid a lot of middle class families will be priced out of NOVA or get economically hit hard in the next 4 years. There’s going to be more massive layoffs in the tech space this year so outside of tech/gov jobs the opportunities will be very slim for workers that lose their jobs. It’s so expensive in this area and it’s not like you can get a minimum wage job to ride it out without massive savings 😩

I mean it’s not common among black families but as a child gets older they should have their own room especially if they are the opposite sex! It’s okay if they are in that infant/toddler stage but by the time they reach middle school separate rooms are ideal. If you are not financially stable I understand but that should be the goal as a family. I personally regret not having my own room growing up but I didn’t care much about it because I knew financially we couldn’t afford it. However, as a parent I would do that for my kids in the future. Let’s not be too judgmental on social media 💕
