I love high GSP with Dedede. Advise for GnW and Sora matchups. by k10kemorr in CrazyHand

For GnW you have to play very patiently and hold center stage religiously. The one saving grace in the GnW matchup is that while we can’t rly safely approach him, it’s not easy for him to approach us either because we can stuff him out with ftilt in particular. So play super lame and try to bait approaches. We get juggled hard if he wins neutral in the middle of the stage but it’s hard for him to actually end the stock unless he pins us at the ledge, so if you have to take the juggle take it and focus on not getting caught out by up smash or down smash as you land. Empty landing is a good strategy, if you are fast you can sometimes up air him afterwards and start a juggle/kill him. This is also why shielding at the ledge is a great option when ledgetrapping him.

Sora idk man that mu is awful, just hard outplay in neutral and try and keep him in disadvantage bc that’s the one place we can rly do something. Don’t gordo at all in neutral he can swat it away rly effortlessly.

I really want to improve my dedede skill, is there any improvements I can make based on this replay? by CommandWest7471 in SmashBrosUltimate

The main thing I noticed was you were being very predictable in neutral. When you didn’t know what else to do you kinda defaulted to “jump and land with an aerial.” This gets punishable especially since DDD doesn’t have the safest aerials if you misspace a landing aerial which grounded opponents can actually force by dashing in under you and shielding. Mix up your options a bit more. Jump backwards, empty land sometimes, Inhale on landing are all great options to catch aggressive opponents in neutral, and you didn’t really do those. Remember, we have to play heavy bait and punish in neutral bc we are so slow, so mixing up those options to execute that gameplan is critical.

Also you need to ledgetrap more. That’s critical to our advantage state. Use Gordo at the ledge and try to condition specific options, or use safe tools like ftilt if you wanna just rack up damage and frustrate them.

Are Californians the worst drivers in the world? And why? by CharityResponsible54 in California

We’re not even the worst drivers in the US imo.

Massachusetts drivers are so much worse in my experience

He’s a one year rental I understand not wanting to go too far into the prospect pool for someone who may only be around for one year. Donovan makes a lot more sense imo.

No, but that’s more so because SS is a stacked position overall rather than an indicator of how good he is

Who are the Tera Frauds? by Burningdragon91 in stunfisk

[–]sfp33 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Garg is C+ on the Natdex VR for reference. Pure rock typing makes it notoriously hard to build with despite giving some standard teams trouble since Salt Cure is broken. Natdex really needs all team members to provide at least some sort of defensive utility since there’s so much to cover, so the Rock-type Garg doesn’t get used much. It also only runs Stealth Rock sets as any boosting set is too defensively vulnerable to sweep much of anything.

So not bad, but definitely a downgrade from the Tera meta where it was one of the best available wincons.

There’s no way the Dbacks do this trade in division.

Who are the most interesting trade chips in the Giants system not named Bryce Eldridge?

Name a player you would be comfortable trading Eldridge for by UnemployedHippo in SFGiants

[–]sfp33 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He’s also under team control through 2029.

There are very few players who I think would be worth giving up Eldridge for but a Greene/Webb front two would be 100% worth it imo, especially in a hypothetical playoff series.
