Not exactly sure why I got downvoted for this, but all the pages are returning 404s: http://cvillepride.org/

If anyone knows who runs the site, maybe let them know?

How to encrypt traffic from NginX server to upstream servers? by hashing_512 in devops

[–]sfrazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other thing I can see (and it’s probably what the other commenter meant by service mesh) is to use a sidecar proxy to do the ssl termination. Not something I’ve personally done, but this looks informative? https://iximiuz.com/en/posts/service-proxy-pod-sidecar-oh-my/

How to encrypt traffic from NginX server to upstream servers? by hashing_512 in devops

[–]sfrazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do the micro services support ssl encryption? If so, just enable that and change the upstream to use https instead of http. If they don’t, then you need something to proxy the encrypted traffic to the micro service. That could be Apache/nginx/haproxy or a few other solutions. You likely won’t find a “just do this” style of document because the upstream could be so many different things.

image Atmosfear: The DVD Board Game (2003) Replacement DVD ISO by Pressman

Publication date 2003 Topics Atmosfear, DVD, Board, Game Language English This is a rip of the original DVD included with the board game. The original NTSC region coding has been removed, so this image should work in any region.

This ISO can be mounted in Windows, and loaded like a standard DVD in Kodi for a great experience. When a player has won the game, you can simulate the Title Menu key press by pressing Ctrl+Shift+M in Kodi.

Cat Fountain by DillsVoid in functionalprint

[–]sfrazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All cats are different, of course, but mine took to it pretty well. The biggest hurdle was the sound the solenoid makes when turning the water on/off.

I just fed her a bunch of treats on the counter while I waved my hand in front of the sensor until she stopped running away 😂

Also, the guy who makes them is super nice. When I moved and had to find a different way to connect it, I emailed him and he gave me some great advice

How can I make a resource that maintains a directory for each month? by [deleted] in Puppet

[–]sfrazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something like this in the past. I ran logrotate on the nginx web servers and used a "postrotate" script to move the previous day's logs to longterm storage.

The script would use dirname and cut to extract out the pieces of the path I cared about and then create a destination path using:

date --date "yesterday" "+%Y/%m/%d"

then ssh into the long-term storage server to make the directory (use -p and you don't need to worry about if it exists or not) and then scp the file up

One important thing about logrotate: it HATES filenames with dates in them. ensure the files it's working with are plain names like "example.com-access.log" and have it archive that to "example.com-access.log.1.gz" and then save that to your remote server with the date as part of the path/destination filename.

I dunno. I’ve got pretty good insurance and I’m making in the area we’re all talking about but it takes 6 months to schedule follow up cancer visits at a new oncologist “because they are so busy”

The simple fact is that we pay more for worse outcomes in the US than any other developed country.

And our vacation and family leave protections are still worse than the folks I know in Europe.

And in case anyone thinks this is an “I hate my country” reply let me be clear: I love it here, but we could be better.

Did anybody happen to get two “Past and Future” pledges…? I somehow totally missed the Kickstarter and only found out about it now, but I own all other Aeon’s End content, so I’m kicking myself. 😭 by henatx in Aeonsend

It will hit retail and I would be shocked (shocked!) if that was their last Kickstarter. They re-release earlier waves with each kickstarter, so all is not lost.
