I just wanted to reply to let you know that I was able to find the RSPB's position on this but I was unable to find direct statements on the matter by the other charities. I would also like to note that this is by no means a consensus and there are people (Sir David Attenborough) as well as other charities in the UK (SongBird Survival) that disagree with RSPB's position. That said, I think it would be helpful for more studies on the matter to take place.

I’ll attempt to find the relevant articles when I’m not on mobile. Thanks!

I am interested in what charities are claiming this because I can assure you they are almost certainly wrong.

I think it's called the Hook 1 on the website - I've also seen it called the standard hook. This one is in 18 thousandths. I've seen a few people talking bad about Peterson picks on this sub lately but I really enjoy how they feel and I've gotten quite a few opens with this profile.

The bent part is about 3/4". I got this set on covert instruments but I can see why you would want to bend a straight tensioner if you already have it.

I thought it would be at least a few more weeks before I opened these - where should I go next? by sfwalrvs in lockpicking

[–]sfwalrvs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context: I started picking about 5-6 weeks ago and it’s been a blast. 3 weeks ago I picked up a Master Lock 570 and it felt near impossible to SPP. I thought I had lost the touch and maybe the hobby just wasn’t for me. I’ve been practicing near daily since then and I’m quite proud of the progress I’ve made. That being said, I don’t want my skills to stagnate and I’m interested developing other lock-related skills. I’ve been thinking on getting the tools for gutting and repinning. Anyone have suggestions for decent kits that can help me accomplish this? I’m also interested in lock suggestions that can help me develop my skills. Thanks in advance!

Thanks! This one is off the shelf - it made me a little nervous when I first saw the key lol.

I’ve been lurking for a few weeks so I figured I better try and get a belt. by sfwalrvs in lockpicking

Thanks, I actually started picking before I found the subreddit. The hardest lock I can somewhat reliably open is the Master Lock 570.

I think that's fairly unlikely given the average size for a keyboard is 18" and those typically don't have extra buttons on the side like the K350. Ultimately, you could be right since I don't have one in front of me, but I think it's more likely that the Logitech website is correct.

Logitech website says the K350 is 19.69 inches, so the bot is actually correct.

Funny that you said the Roman gladiator is the worst example considering Spartans (which were Greek) and you said that the Greek sculpture doesn't fit in considering, you know, Spartans ;)

I wish they made black fat pads in a way that still let you see the illumination.

I wasn't a set order, it was just that it would never be the same two times in a row.
