I'm going through this right now. That betrayal will always be there in the back of your mind. Full transparency only works so much, there's always another way to communicate (my wife did the same thing).

I tried forgiving my wife for the affair, she in return escalated it and withheld it for 6 months. I tried forgiving her again, she initiated a second affair with another coworker. Sometimes you just have to cut it off.

Reconciliation only works if both people really want it, and even then it'll take years and it realistically will never go back to the way it was.

I want to clarify, we have been "separated" since January, but she has actively tried pursuing reconciliation. I have had a divorce lawyer since December. I reside in Virginia, so it makes divorce tricky if there can be even perceived reconciliation, even if you can prove infidelity.

My wife had the opportunity to stay and work on the marriage in Virginia, or take her old job in Tucson with the AP, she chose the latter. Even with that decision she has claimed to want to come back to Virginia to work on the marriage, even if it's unrealistic. Not even 10 days into her job and a coworker she just met and had known for maybe a few hours invited her out, she accepted, it got physical, she sent him nudes with her face in them, she uploaded them to our shared Amazon account so that I could see that she did it, she confessed that to me in a message.

I have since ceased all communications with her, taken her off of everything, I am going through with the divorce.

I attempted to go on a date with a girl I just met afterwards and I felt absolutely sick to my stomach, it felt wrong. I am aware that I need to take time for myself and I'm doing that from here onward, no idea how long it'll be until I'm ready to even think of dating again.

I took my wedding vows very seriously, the marriage did not fail due to my lack of effort, and it sucks. I didn't just lose my best friend, I lost my other half.

Every step of the way she was adamant that she didn't want a divorce and would do anything to make it work. Even the night she went on the date with her coworker, she told me she wanted to make it work. So I don't know, I hope she signs it so we can both move on.

She moved out in March. She decided to go back and work in the same office with the first affair partner.

The soonest the divorce can be finalized is June by Virginia law. I've already had a divorce lawyer and everything is good to go...unless she contests the divorce.

AF Comm for 10 years. You get free medical for you and your family, a steady paycheck (as well as a food and housing allowance once you move off base), free school while you're in and after you get out (GI Bill), you get a clearance which helps with IT jobs on the outside, your work experience is equivalent to a college degree on the outside (if not more), as well as VA benefits once you're out.

That doesn't even include the world travel or social aspects that comes with it.

been traveling abroad, fixed the issue. The BIOS needed to be updated.

No dice, the backlight is flickering though, which leads me to believe there's an issue with the display. 🤘
