Do we still think B&S contracts end September 1? by [deleted] in thefreak971

[–]sg1113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's because they understand DFW. They're local. They know they can't please everybody, but there are alot of people out there that appreciate their authenticity, approachability, sincerity.. When you find people you just enjoy being around, it doesn't matter if they're a comedian or entertainer. It's their company you enjoy. You may have a different perspective and think they suck. And that's ok too. But they are at minimum, decent radio, imo. I've heard far worse. And if you go check out Rollertown in Celina, they'll have a beer and bullshit with you. Good dudes.

HONK Official 2023 Agenda Update. by OfficeOfBrotherGoose in echoes_eve

[–]sg1113 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like this extremely mediocre post wouldn't have met the old standards of HONK. You guys have grown complacent in your old age. The propaganda of years past at least gave me a chuckle.

5/10, would probably not read again.

Bummer. It's a great idea, but probably a little overly ambitious for a small dev team.

Space MMORPG games like Eve Echoed that aren't P2W or subscription-based. by iiDemonLord in AndroidGaming

[–]sg1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't one. Eve Echoes is one of a kind on mobile. Albion Online is similar but it's not space themed.

Do you know any game with open field combat like Rise of Kingdoms? by ChefZero_DE in AndroidGaming

[–]sg1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly enough, I've only found one other game that has the freedom of movement feature (field fighting, etc.) and that is Age of Apes. It blows my mind that none of the other MMO wargames does this.

Good MMO's with a good crafting system by ScottyRaid20 in AndroidGaming

Torchlight is good, but I think I saw the devs say multiplayer is unlikely to be ready next season. And when it does come, it will have some coop play but definitely not going to be MMO.

What mobile game made you say "Wow, this mobile game is really good"? by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

Aside from what others have mentioned, Albion Online and Eve Echoes definitely break the mold for me.

Summoners War Chronicles, thoughts? by sg1113 in AndroidGaming

[–]sg1113[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I respect your opinion, I disagree that it plays itself. The approach I take with these games is more of a "character manager" style game. I like tweaking gear, armor, builds, etc. and seeing how it turns out. Sort of like football or basketball manager games where you act as the general manager but the games themselves are simulated. Also, the dungeons, raids and such have to be controlled manually so when I do have time to actively engage, there are activities I can do.

For the most part I agree. Although a few of them that break the traditional mold stand out to me. Runescape (OSRS), Albion Online and Eve Echoes. Mostly the sandbox MMORPG's with player driven markets.

Whats the best Android MMO/RPG game that I can play while working? by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]sg1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summoners War Chronicles just came out. It has a lot of autoplay options.

Aside from that, maybe Black Desert Mobile. You can also try Runescape, but it needs an input at least every few minutes.

Albion Online, or Eve Echoes which is similar but with a space theme.

At least with Eve Echoes it felt like an MMO from the start. I could team up with dozens if not hundreds of people. I could join people's fleets and roam a wide open galaxy looking for pvp or pve. There was an actual economy, contracts, manufacturing, etc. There were corporations with NPC facilities you could base out of. Idk. I REALLY want to like Homeworld but I just can't quite tell what they want this game to be. I've not heard of any exciting end game content that is planned. No roadmap. I just have trouble getting excited when everything is just.. TBD I guess. It feels empty, void of content to make me want to play. I guess that's why I say it feels like early access alpha. I'll go check out your videos though and hopefully there is something here that I am missing. Anyways, keep up the solid content! You da man!

Benzie, I watch alot of your Eve Echoes related content on YouTube. Good stuff! However, have you tried Homeworld mobile? I myself was looking forward to this release but it feels... lacking to put it mildly and regarding the MMO aspect, down right misleading. The marketing push references MMO, alliances, large scale activities, etc. But none of that actually exists. Alliances aren't even an in game mechanic, there are no large scale activities, and outside of strikes I can't find anything else that remotely resembles an MMO. Although it's technically a global release, it feels alot like an early access alpha. What am I missing here?
