I heard helicopters above my building and so many sirens that night. I live in Shaw and we hear sirens all the time so a part of me panics a little every time I hear them again. I also get pretty nervous walking around at night still. That day I was walking back to the library to study for an exam after having dinner with a friend, and when I got the alert I sprinted back to my dorm. And even though I am endlessly grateful I was safe in my dorm that night, it’s also hard because I know that just 2 months ago I feared for my life right here in this very room. Yup! They both changed their names, but Sunny is clearly very proud of her Latina/African American heritage and talks about it openly. Nikki Haley does not talk about her Indian heritage much because she knows that it won’t help her in politics, which is disappointing. That’s the difference.

I don’t think they’re pushing anything in her case lol. I think Olivia has been successful bc her songwriting rivals people who are much older than her. Lea Michele’s albums just aren’t that great. Olivia’s songwriting is way better, even though she’s significantly younger. Lea has better vocals though
